A review of the food served on board JAL Japan Airlines in their business class cabin.
This was food served on flights between Sydney and Tokyo.
First flight shows the 4 course Japanese meal which was absolutely delicious.
1st course came with 2 appetizers - some marinated mushroom and the other dish was some very tasty Prosciutto with Caper Berry and smoked almond
2nd course came with 5 dishes -some shrimp and scallion marinated with vinegar miso, some Roast beef roll with Watercress and Wasabi and some chicken and burdock roll.
Some sweet chestnut paste, Udon noodles with spicy cod roe and some very delicious Seared tuna and scallop with egg yolk vinegar soy sauce.
3rd course was some grilled snapper with Sesame, some Japanese Oden, a bowl of steamed rice, some Japanese pickles and a bowl of miso soup.
Dessert was some chocolate cake served with Japanese Green tea.
On this flight from Sydney to Tokyo I also ordered off the 'Anytime You Wish' menu.
I enjoyed the JAL Original Healthy Ramen Noodle Soup and I also ordered the Roast Beef Rice bowl.
On the flight back from Tokyo to Sydney I choose the 4 course Western Meal which came with:
A dish of jelly fish and some cod moose.
2nd course was a mix of spinach and bacon quiche, sour cream chicken, truffle croquette, Broccoli and Cauliflower and another fishy flavoured scallop mouse.
3rd course was a delicious roasted Wagyu beef sirloin served with taro, red carrot and button mushroom.
Dessert was a crispy cream puff filled with bitter chocolate cream.
