I have a chronic meniscus tear in both knees, i was told no amount of physio or exercise would fix the issue, so its deal with it or get surgery, but the stats around issues after has scared me into thinking what is best to do as i only suffer very bad pain twice a year
I have similar pain constantly. Please help what kind of treatment you look for. I asked the doctor, but they don't seem to suggest anything further than braces and ibuprofen.
Our manager booked a day of bowling for our team but since I was suffering from CTS I had no intention of going, but I was persuaded by the manager who reassured me that I could spectate only, not participate. After spectating for a while, the manager pulled me out of the seat saying 'come on, have a go'. I thought the only way to get him off my back was to try to bowl. I can tell you that it was very painful, but something happened, I can honestly say that I have no idea how many balls were bowled, but the pain had disappeared, I only noticed the pain had gone after I stopped playing and sat down again. That was about 20 years ago, I've never suffered from it since.
I'm on disability for a severe chronic venous insufficiency after 2019 it just got the best of me in Arkansas you have to make three times the amount of money to even rent an apartment so I just reached out and got a part-time job I hadn't worked in 5 years now all the stuff that was going on with my legs is coming all back again I'm getting rash all around and I've looked at the stages of chronic venous insufficiency. And I was told a couple years ago by my primary doctor that I had carpal tunnel what I'm doing part-time involves me using my right hand constantly this video is just got me in a whirlwind because that's all I do with my hand is I put clothes on hangers and hang up clothes on hangers and hang on my not primary doctor just retired about 6 months ago does anyone know what type of gas or I would go to to see for my thumb and my hand is it is a severe pain especially when I'm having to use it
Dr. Hall did my tkr on 5/5/2010 out of oxynium. Best decision ever! Went from bedridden in constant pain, on round the clock narcotics and over 300 pounds. Now I work a physically demanding job and lost over 100 pounds. Took up dancing again.
If you got diabetic eat 2 leaves before food and 2 leaves after food at evening.plant name insulin plant... really magical results I am apharmacist and I gave this treatment to one of my co worker his sugar levels are normal doctors are shocked about its result.
I had a total hip done seven months ago, the first six weeks were bad, after the tenth day i dislocated my hip very badly, by crossing my legs, THAT'S IT, i merely crossed my legs, as we do almost instinctively. I want to know if i can judge or anticipate my shoulder recovery, (even in a 'semi realistic'), basis. Would i be relatively prepared for what to expect for shoulder recovery, based on 🦴 my hip experience? M. IL. USA
Any advice for me Matt. I was hit by a truck cycling 18 months ago. Had two fractures in my right femur, full broken pelvis and broken back as well as broken ribs and arm. Now I’ve had a setback and need a hip replacement on that femur as the femoral neck has collapsed
Great video! I have severe arthritis in both thumbs and have a disabled husband. I am afraid of surgery due to his needs. Using splints, Voltaren, Advil and heat right now.
This is a recorded webinar. We have a library of professionally filmed videos on this topic if you prefer that format. ru-vid.com/group/PLMKJO0KjYxlsTS9g_kjg5Jx7oqnOQtuZa&si=hAx2NyLe2T80ltNH
I had surgery for both my knees for torn meniscus, when I was about 20, now I’m 32yr and each time I play soccer it keeps getting swollen. So I throw in heat just like I was recommended and swelling goes away about 2 days. But I’m not sure how long I can keep this up for.. I don’t want to stop playing soccer but I’m just not sure what else to do…
Mine isn’t numbness but pain and it extends to my thumb from the forearm. This didn’t start until my third trimester. I’m wondering if it’s related to carpal tunnel, pregnancy, or just haven’t slept on it wrong..
@KatieKemna, I had the same experience during my pregnancy. My FIL was a neuroradiologist and told me it was most likely carpal tunnel, due to my swelling from pregnancy exacerbating the condition. After delivery, it disappeared for awhile. 19 years later, I’m scheduled for open carpal release:( Sleeping on my side, dropping my arm down from side of bed, was the only thing that gave me relief while sleeping.
I've been Injured since February with a tear. I see physio and nothing has worked I can do shoulder press with light weight but soon as I pick up 2kg dumbell and do lateral raises the pain gets worse. 😢 I tried doing dumbell rotation exercises as physio suggested external rotation was fine but internal rotation causes pain and grinding of my shoulder when rotating my arm from 90 degree angle downwards :/. Um so frustrated! I've had tricep tendonitis on the same side that seems to he healing but shoulder hasn't responded too rest or strength building what should I do? If you could give some advice be greatful
@juliannewman8720 I had lower trapezius strain and I continued too train as normal without back day. So my guess is shoulders going forward. Lower traps injured so the left side wouldn't of been firing correctly causing my shouder blade to not function in the correct pattern. :/. Also I have tricep tendonitis 🤣 so more strain on the shoulder. So yup I'm complete dickhead. So answer too your question is probably either shoulder press or bench press. I was doing seated shoulder press with barbell with 60kg for like 10 reps too failure twice a week. But they was no warning sign when performing exercise just pain next day
Really appreciate your explanation because it’s direct and complex, which is very important for all of us who have no concept of medical science nor anatomy.
I just reached the 6 week post operative milestone. Sling is just now gone. I'm still waiting for the I'm glad I had this done moment , which doesn't surprise me. This has been a rough surgery to recover from. 6 weeks post and still having to ice several times per day. Some bruising still around elbow and sternum. My advice to anyone undergoing this surgery is to obtain a power recliner to sleep in. Also keep your expectations realistic. I've done a ton of presurgery research and knew what I was up against. From that research, I've concluded that a realistic recovery time is around 6 months.
I am 76 and now 11 months after reverse shoulder replacement for a fracture. There is so much more to know how to survive at home. You can’t eat, dress, go to the bathroom, sleep, cook or iron clothes. It may not sound very high powered, but help to know what to buy before the op would be helpful. Pillows, elastic everything and an in-house helper for months.
I had cmc surgery a year ago. I developed pain in the area where you show surgery. My thumb does not lock though. Moving thumb up and down does not hurt but if I am in karate chop position and move thumb to right I have pain. Still hurts with pinching motion. Doc did a cortisone injection and helped somewhat. A few months later shot near my surgery site where bone was removed. That helped the most, but now 5 months later pain is back. I can feel 2 big bumps in the area you show. Is this still trigger finger?
I had an EMG on my legs and was told that it would be minor pain and no after effects. LIARS!!! It was HORRIBLY painful during the procedure and I have lingering pain and nerve fluttering (they said the test was normal, so this is not the response of neural disfunction). Had they been honest with me about the potential pain and after effects, I NEVER would have gone thru with it!!!
