I just got diagnosed with this and I'm a piano player. My mother and twin sister also have it. I'm a Cuban with 100% European Ancestry and it also came out on my DNA health testing. The pain is insufferable.

I was being successfully treated via Xiapex over here in the UK - until the main manufacturer withdrew the license in 2019. I'm a professional musician (piano and guitar) in my 50's and have been fighting invasive procedures for DC since my early 30s to maintain my career. Its very depressing how the pharmaceutical systems work. This was an amazing new treatment.

Correct me if I'm wrong, but it is not a cure and I was curious how often were you getting these treatments?

@@BrewBlaster I had my first one on my little finger RH in 2013 - still not returned. Was part way through treatment on my LH for little finger - palm sorted but not bend at PIP.

Funny how they don’t mention how unbelievably expensive this treatment was, not even my insurance would cover it

@@pedromartinez6498 over here it was substantially cheaper than open fascioctomy surgery which amounted to 4- 5 x the cost - cost to have a surgery team, anaesthetic etc - also factor in recovery and hand usage was almost immediate as opposed to the potential 6 month recovery time with surgery - this was factored into the 'cost' by NICE over here in the UK as there is a quality of life aspect that needs to be considered too. I was playing piano and guitar within two days.

Was told by my doctor they would do anything until it was bent to over 90°

If you are unsure about the diagnosis, maybe consider getting a second opinion.
