I never thought of Sun In as a possibility for lightening hair. And that's odd because that's what the product was basically made for. Something I want to know is: what happens if you lighten your hair with this, then put a demi, or semi permanent dye on top?

I heard that’s bad for your hair. I actually heard from a lady from Sally’s beauty salon saying don’t ever use sun in. I got a better way of lighten her hair use peroxide and baking soda mix equal parts together and put in your hair for 14 minutes or longer depending how dark your hair is that’s a lot better than sun in.
The reason I'm watching this is because of school. Even though I came from an asian household, nobody's trying to stop me from bleaching my hair, only my school. So i'm just watching this for fun... or will I attempt this? I do live in a tropical country after all and this product might work even faster on me lmao.
The stuff is super bad for the hair causes a chemical reaction in the hair which reactivates every time you’re in the sun. This Chemical reaction well overtime dry out there causing severe split ends. This stuff does not come out until you cut the hair. If your looking for a cheap affordable way to do highlights ask your hairdresser for ACCENT foils which is just mini highlight. The salon that I work for charges $5 dollars a foil $20 for toner when it comes to accents please talk to your hairdresser before putting chemicals in your hair.

That stuff actually did work for me back in the day but being in the sun really does help activate it more overall. I wonder what's in it ingredient wise now that I'm older 🤔

When I was 14 I used to put Pearl peroxide on it, it was like 3% I think and I would just dump it on and go out in the sun and did it ever lighten my hair to a nice color, of course I had light brown hair in the first place.
Might look a little orangy... I think that is a understatement. Anyone that is a brown haired person naturally: It's a fact the pigments will forsure go thru a arey of red and orange as it's pigment is lighted. Also Sun-In!! Is very damaging. Very. It's peroxide. From my own personal experience... Sun in used a week on the beach. Heat only form the sun Vs using a bleach packet with 30v. The sun- in gave me lift along with damage . The bleach packet lifted way better a much nicer blonde and with in mins, compared to the sun- in and with little to No damage. I had shine with the bleach, I had dry lifeless orange with the sun- in. I thought this stuff was off the market by now. You can go by a bottle of hydrogen peroxide and do this same thing for .89 cents, But please don't.
