Bit difficult for me as in Australia. Currently have a 981s PDK but have a Black GTS 4.0l Manual on order with delivery in July. Have tracked the 981s and agree they are brilliant cars. My spec is just Guards Red Seatbelts and Guards Red Dials (inc Sports Chrono) - After Market Floor Mats with Guards Red Stitching and Clear wind deflector with Porsche Crest above and PORSCHE script below plus the extended Brushed Aluminium Leather Package. Finally cause it's Black Metallic the GTS script 4.0l on the doors is in Guards Red also. My advice to anyone buying any Porsche is be careful with the additions as dollars quickly add up. Aust orders for any Boxster / Cayman with ICE end in July.
Don’t think it requires the 2000 miles below 4k RPMs as outlined in the manual. But the first 350 miles are very important for seating the rings, making use of the cross hatch in the bores, and letting the bearings break in. I would definitely keep below 5000 RPMs for the first 350 miles, constantly vary the RPMs/load, don’t drive extended distances on the highway, and don’t let it idle for a really long time. I would personally raise the RPMs gradually over the subsequent 350 or so miles and not redline it until you hit close to 1000 miles.
For the price, not having this automatic was pure laziness by Porsche. At a Porsche meet I attended, there were a lot of people who opted for Boxster GT 4 for this very reason..
Bro doesn’t know what he is talking about, you have a rwd on a rear mounted engine, the reason people are scared of owning a rwd in winter it’s bc most sports cars are from engine rwd, where no weight is over the driving wheels, your car is the same as having a fwd car 😂
I’m sorry but what a fucking garbage video. I’m here to hear the gorgeous flat 6 while your ass didn’t go up past 5k RPM a SINGLE time in the whole fucking video. What a waste of time.
Mark, please tell me were do you get your information from. I placed my order end of April 2023. Do you think I will still get the CD-PLAYER as well as the cognac/expresso leather option. As mentioned, I ordered end of April 2023.
Hi Bernard, As I work for the brand as a global brand ambassador i get my information directly from the source. Do you have a confirmed order from the factory (V200) or an order request (V070)
Although the T is now cancelled i do not suspect them to go up in value. That would be reserved for any 6 cylinder model once the electric car gets presented
Marc, thanks for the info. Any insight on the MY24 GT3 & GT3 Touring? Most sources are saying GT3 is done but why would Porsche release MY24 pricing on them if they are no MY24 coming. Doesn't make sense. I would still like to order one but can't get again dealers are saying no more allocation. Thanks, Kevin
Hi Kevin, there is pricing available for the 911, just waiting for all prices to be published. GT3 in the United States looks to be going up to $182,900. The problem that dealerships are faced with is incredible demand and a lack of allocations.
I am glad Porsche has taken bold steps with the interior. I personally wish they would have kept the start key vs the star stop button. What are your thoughts?
Always resisted test driving the higher end cars, but now might be the time to take the GTS for a test ride. I'm on my second Boxster, a 2016 981 PDK (like it but miss going through the gears). There is no way I can buy a new GTS as after a break from work (Auxiliar de Conversacion Program in Spain) I'm not going back to work. Now only question is whether to sell it (only 24k miles) as I really won't need a car living in a city in Spain. Had I been working, probably couldn't resist buying one.
Man that blue is brilliant! What about the flaps when you put the top up, do you fold the flaps back down so that they aren't open? Why can't you close the trunk before clipping the roof down?
When you put the top up you undo the flaps from the main structure and attached them to the lid again. If you close the trunk before clipping there is too much tension for the roof to grab on the windshield latch
Dude, This was the exact spec I built on Porsches website using the configurator. I did speak with my local dealership about it. It would be at least a 12mo lead time to build it.
That was a pretty bad explanation of the new PCM 6.0. The author just clicked on the icons and did not cover any use cases, e.g. to program homelink or to use the voice command. Even explaining the short press of the voice is for the PCM and a long press is for Siri. The video was not informative or useful. Sorry, but that is the truth.
Thank you for your response Rodney, It is more meant as a walkthrough then an in dept review. Unfortunately i can’t program homelink as this video was shot in a showroom. That being said, happy to guide you through the steps if one would ask. You might not find it informative or useless. Many other do find it useful as a roadmap to navigate the PCM. I hope you have a wonderful remainder of your weekend
@@porscheswithmarc thank you for the reply. Funny you mention homelink. I some how got it to work after about 5 tries with my 992 GT3. I tested it and I was able to open/close the garage door. However, I backed the car out of the garage and pressed my short cut button and no dice the door stayed open. When I returned I tried to open the door and no dice. Oh well….. back to the beginning.
@@porscheswithmarc I thought once I got the car to open/close the door the setup was completed and I was done. My initial test worked. Second time nothing happened. Maybe is missed something?
Nice spec. I just ordered the 718 GTS 4.0. I couldn't get the ceramic brakes and upgraded led lights as due to part shortage, they are saving those for higher end models like Turbo S.
