I've had mine for 2 weeks running on 2s lipo. After a 20 minute run it shut off because of heat, so I thought. The next day it wouldn't move and after some trouble shooting, it turns out one of the fingers holding the brushes on snapped off. lol
I burned out the old 550 MEGA 12 that my Arrma Sento came stock with by running a 22t pinion gear in it... I think I killed it. I unfortunately refuse to downgrade my pinion gear though and hope this motor conversion lets me keep running it.
I have bad hands and found that getting a 7MM wrench with a larger diameter handle makes putting the wheels on/off much much easier. I found a cheap one on Amazon and bought a pair of them. One at home, one in the car toolbox. Brand is Auvotuis. I was using a wrench like you did in the video and it was difficult to remove the nut. Too many cars worked on, too many fights as a bouncer, and old age make your hands hurt!
I just got a clear body for my rc truck. Didn't even occur to me to paint the inside of the body, lol. Thank you for the video. What exact brand(s) of the metallic backer and paint did you use. You might have said it but I missed it. Thanks again!
Is it the same arm as on the granite? And have you heard of people using a little longer arms? I just broke a front a arm , very front where the pin slides in, and I'm looking at these aluminum one's now but want just a bit more width on it to add stabilization. Already done shocks. Any time your not busy if you happen to know. I know that this is a senton. I'm really pretty new to this. Got tools though and the means to upgrade. Just want to go in the right direction, strength and stability. Thanks
@@joeman205 well I found out you can use the Typhon arms which will surely widen the granite, and as for the aluminum arms... I have them, but did decide NOT to put them on. I just replaced the A-arm with original OEM arm. The reason for not using aluminum's is the next time I have a collision it will send the impact to something much more costly to replace, chassis.
My engine is brand new but I broke of the little hook for the battery wire on the engine mount.. wonder is it’s even worth it to buy a new one and take everything apart? It really dose not effect anything.. it’s just bothering me haha
I have the same exact setup with the red version. My stock esc malfunctioned and did a runaway causing the esc and motor to smoke. So this upgrade had a reason lurking behind it.
Thanks a lot. Never would have known how to get the motor out without this. Had trouble getting that little gear off the old motor. It was really stuck on there. Happened to have a hammer nearby. Used the claw end and pryed it right off!
I tried to follow this video but my spur spins very free with the screw all the way tight I don’t want to put it all back together just for it not to work still my clutch disks all look fine the car is still pretty new
Can the traxxas 4tech 2.0 motor, receiver and esc swap into this ? I accidentally snapped that chasis in half and I’m looking into this one. I had just purchased a brushless motor for the traxxas mustang and I don’t wanna buy another one.
