Thanks! Very helpful review. You're the first reviewer to admit this is basically just a MIDI controller--although I think the now current version might have some built-in samples (website says Hamberg D and few other samples now included). Keys look like they are just synth-keys (spring loaded plastic) with a little bit of added velocity sensitivity? I think you did say in the review, these are not hammer weighted keys. Also, I believe it's 87 keys, not 88? I see 3 keys on the first module, and each octave is only 12 keys so the last "c" is missing since I'm sure it didn't make sense to create one octave module with an additional "c" key as their last module (or it was lower cost and not a frequently used key).
@@EmmyHB That's an excellent question. The main thing is to get a Keyboard. Even a $100 keyboard is fine to start out. Then, go on this site to learn about chord progressions: www.musicca.com/chord-player The "minor keys" are usually sad sounding, and the "major keys" are generally happy. You only need 3 chords to make a basic song. That website as a little player that you can punch chord progressions in and play. Put 3 or 4 chords in on repeat and just start singing along with it. Find those notes on your keyboard and practice it. You can start with the first line of "Twinkle Twinkle Little Star." You can find all those chords at tabs.ultimate-guitar.com/tab/misc-children/twinkle-twinkle-little-star-chords-878203 That's super basic, but you play around with happy and sad chord progressions. Then, write about something that means a lot to you. Play a chord progression on that website, kind of sing the words so the notes sound okay with the chords, and find them on the piano keyboard. Write them down. ou can get stickers to know which ones are on the piano. Also, my songs aren't all about things that I've personally been through. Some are based on e putting myself in the mindset of a character in a book or a TV show. However, the most authentic songs, including "Trigger Warning," are about things I've been through. Sometimes, I sing about Georgia and Texas. That's because I've lived there, even though I've lived in Iowa most of my life. Try to be authentic with your lyrics, or at least write about topics you know and places you've been. Then, If you want to make some "real" songs, get a program called "Band-In-A-Box" which you can put chords into and have it play real instruments in a chord progression you want. I actually use that for some of the tracks in some of my country songs because I can't play things like the Steel Guitar or Banjo (I play keyboard and harmonica only).
This is my pit dog name and he sure does give them stitches they all move from him. Looks like a lion only put a blond wig on him roars as a lion. Love this song. Thank you he had a song to wig his tail. Bklyn coney island m
This sounds like a rip off of the Bakersfield sound and Charlie Daniels, who is not from here but played many times. There’s many other references but can’t right now mention them all!
In the 60s this style was a genre. Thanks for listening, but this is not ripping off anyone. It's a tribute to Johnny Cash more than anything. That's why I named Betty's sister Sue. The song was based off Earnist Hemingway marrying each of his wife's bests friends, which he actually did. Betty is after Betty Draper from Madmen. I don't know Bakersfield. Only thing I know about Charlie is devil went down to Georgia. It's not ripping off anyone. I tried to make a good song, but the lyrics are clearly joking around.
Thanks man! He gon get stitches LOL! Edit: Oh shit if you're talking about James Henderson on CD Baby that's me LOL. Guess I get stitches😄. Since I go by my real name on CD Baby I can't have Jazzy on there!
Yeah, this one is an autobiography down to the last detail... Pay attention to the tenses. I hope it helps heal people. ------------- I play piano and write and produce original music of many genres. I want to preface this with saying i am absolutely NOT a "country" person. However This is fucking fantastic, well done. If you tried getting this on the radio, i would actually guarantee (pfft, like I would have any say over it) that it would get high on the charts, it sounds classic country, a guy with breakups, but not overly derivative. I could see country people liking it, so i'm gonna say "here before it blows up" as it, hopefully will. Good luck.👍🏻
This is a reupload with me playing fiddle (on a piano keyboard) instead of me actually playing harmonica, which didn't sound good in this mix. Sorry about that. I think this is much better! Let me know how I did on the fiddle work (using a keyboard and Kontact)! Personal note: In 1982, America was in a recession and my step-dad could not get a job. I was in 5th grade. He joined the army. We moved from Illinois to Ft. Stewart, Georgia, (by Savannah hence the video), and lived in subsidized apartments in Richmond Hill. I constantly got the crap beat out of me for having a Yankee accent. Some dude's grandpa who was senile chased me out of his house LOL. Anyway, we moved back before high school. This song is a re-imagined story of a girl with the same circumstances in the 2008 recession, but ends up staying in Georgia. I hope you enjoy! This is the first song I remember writing, in about 5th grade (which is why the lyrics are simple and brief), about getting out of an emotionally or physically abusive situation. I knew I didn't belong there, and writing songs was an escape. I still write songs to escape, though I'm all grown up and in a good place with a great spouse. The Cello is me on keyboard with a Kontact VST. All the music is performed by me on FL Studio and associated VSTs using a music keyboard controller. The vocals are my own converted by ACE Studio. I did that because as a kid, the voice I heard was what I perceived an angel to sound like. The video is created using PlazmaPunk.
I'm sorry, this is a reupload of "No New Exes" because I was blasting the harmonica too loud over the vocals in the previous upload! I had too much fun playing along and I mixed it too high throughout. While it was fun for me, it covered up the vocals. It should be fixed now! ----------------------- I play piano and write and produce original music of many genres. First and foremost I'm a songwriter. Hey Smilin! Yes, the vocals are amazing! I would like Dasha to sing it! Her voice would be perfect! Thanks for listening! Whether you subscribe or not, I want to let you know what you're listening to! I play piano and write and produce original music of many genres. First and foremost I'm a songwriter. My goal is to get better singers than myself to sing my songs. My songs' lyrics, concepts, and song structure are entirely original and my own; I pour my heart and soul into them. The vocals are a combination of my own and licensed AI, and the instruments are played by both AI and me. (If you hear piano, harmonica, or synths, those are often me playing, along with some fiddles and guitars, which I play on my keyboard.) Some vocals are my voice only. Some vocals are a combination of my voice and licensed AI or purely licensed AI. I take an active part in all aspects of every song. None are cut-and-paste AI mediocrity. This is a labor of love and I promise I spend way more money on this than I will likely ever make. If that changes, or if some big artists ever sing my songs, you will be the first to know in this pinned post LOL. Thanks. I just want to be completely open since tech is changing so fast. I use it as a tool to get the music out of my brain into your ears, not as a substitute for artistry. Jim aka DJ Jazzy Jimbob!
Needless to say. This video, these lyrics, and this song is the greatest thing I have ever accomplished in life. Medical school was nothing. Marriage and my family can't even compare. 20 years of learning piano... nothing in comparison to this video and song. This... this... is my Magnum Opus. I had a blast blaring the harmonica too🤣
Expressing raw grief . Sometimes it’s needed to express how alone and desperate a person feels without their love for a season at least, a loss though we will remember forever! Miss you honey!👋🏻♥️❤️ XX
Wasn't gonna give this a chance at first because I disagree with the mindset of snitches get stitches. BUT, most of my favorite songs talk about things I don't agree with and I k own better don't judge a book by it's cover, so I'll let ya know what I think when I'm done. Oh AND, I'm real life zatoichi the blind swordsman like in the movies so I'd be dammed if I didn't have my hands in some criminal shizz from time to time I do have a habit of cleaning up even the muckiest of situations just like he does in the movies. Like I said I'll let you know what I thought when I get finished I'll just update this or post another comment, OK, half way through and I love it. I realized you weren't encouraging it you were just singing the story of someone going through it. Now I love this and wanna make sure everyone in the world knows how awesome it is. I still say honesty the best policy. I always thought if I was a ninja my outfit would be all white cuz I'm so honest and out in the open just cuz secrets don't make friends. I'm gonna bump this on repeat a few times just to pump your views up for the algorithm 💪
