I never thought about the difference in language regarding Memorials vs Conversations until you bought that up but wow... there's definitely a difference. Also, I can remember being asked not to leave the arena during lunch at Convention also. It seems so crazy now sitting back and thinking about everything.

Im no longer shocked by how exactly the same it is! Everyone learning the exact same thing, the same boring way. I looked forward to convention as a kid because i got to see new "friends". It was like a little vacay. As i got older i started napping 😂 it was soooo boring. I looked forward to watching people get baptized on saturday that was about it. Something about going in the water 😂😂😂. But I'm noticing more and more that assemblies are taking place in small halls not big places. It's very odd Perhaps it's those small numbers

Good Morning. Just wanted to say that I enjoy watching your channel. I've never been a JW (Thank goodness) but a family member was and he woke up and left the "cult" a few years ago. Now that you both are no longer JW's and since JW's are not allowed to vote in any elections, how you you feel about voting now and especially that we have a black woman/south Asian woman on the ticket? Will you both be willing to discuss this in a future broadcast?
First of all Armageddon is a place which means battle ground. And it’s a spiritual place where they take over the holy city Zion. It is a spiritual not physical battle. And the reason y the kings and the devils think they can stand against the invisible god is because he doesn’t come back on spiritually but physically. It’s exactly like the matrix movie. We have been in constant battle with the devils for years and now it is the end of Satan and beginning of Christ rulership. If u go to sleep every night and wake up without remembering ur dreams it’s because u haven’t opened ur spiritual eye. Those that are born again do not go to sleep without having a message from either god or demons.
Only part your missing in this is that we create the “devil” and the “God” in our stories. Everything else is yes! On point. It is a spiritual battle. Opening the pineal gland or third eye is what spiritually connects us with everything and everybody around us. The world can be dark but it can also be so very bright !

I worked in the medical field for a while and what I learned that everything has a purpose. Wheather to learn from falling or learning how to be on top with out ur ears popping. The Bible is the word of god. The living word is christ(Holy Ghost). Jesus is the flesh that walks the earth. Jesus claimed to be in heaven while on earth. Which means u can make it to heaven or hell without dying. The Bible was not created to judge but to learn from as was the law.
I appreciate you both so much. People don't understand this. Thank goodness now there is the internet. When i was disfellowshipped there was AOL no community of disfellowshipped or faded people. It is important to build community to help lift each other up and to encourage one another because some don't have family or friends and we all need to be that for each other.❤ Thank you for helping to build that community.

I was disfellowshipped 3 times. 3rd time was a charm. I’ve never married a JW man. After the 3rd time, I’ll never go back. Been married to my amazing husband now for 10 years and he isn’t a JW. Boom 💥

I got the same experience when I was privately reproofed and brothers were wondering why I was no longer going to the ministry. A part of me was happy that I couldn't anymore, but how they treated me by silent shunning despite doing my best to follow the norm really exposed how hypocritical they are. And now that I've left, they want me to come back because they missed the "old me". 🙄

My final straw with being emotionally attached to this horrible place was the WT article of few Sundays back about how we as JWs are accused of being judgmental, intolerant and unloving and I thought naaah, you can lie to the world but you can’t lie to me about our reality. @@Sweetness_g It's like they totally forgot what Jesus meant when he said to not judge so they wouldn't be judged. It's even part of the JW teachings about why Peter was corrected by Jesus to surrender any reasons to be a faultfinder, or else that attitude was gonna boomerang back at him whenever he forgives others but with limitations. I mean, we may sound like we're judging JWs as hypocrites, which can make us seem no better than the other side judging apostates despite how relatively true our feelings and biases are based from our experiences when we were hurt, but there's simply a difference between judging others VS pointing out their flaws. This was how Jesus exposed the hypocrisy of the Pharisees in his day. Jesus wasn't biased when he did, and that's what makes his stand against them great because it's true. It's similar with how we view the JWs once we're out. They don't realize the reality that they're programmed by the JW culture fractured from the transcended teachings of Jesus. Instead, whoever's in-charge of the writing department over at headquarters are cherry-picking scriptures that fit their culty narrative, which makes their whole teachings gaslighty and manipulative, instead of how they claimed themselves to be the only religion that's true.
I was DF in 2003, my now ex-wife and 2 young sons went to the meeting when it was announced they DF me, I was going to the meetings anyway and didn't care! It's been 21 years and never went back to that clingy place!

They tell you to take the time of DF to study alone so you can regain your relationship with God AND THEN you can come back to the ORG. So if I can do it on my own, what do I need the ORG for?

I get there when the song starts sit in the back row jet out right after prayer nobody has the chance to shun me although they still do during the actual meeting with dirty looks, weird staring and super awkward vibes. All I did was have sex like a gazillion times while being disfellowshipped so why all the bad vibes. Obviously, the sex police will be asking me questions to which I’ll say it doesn’t matter what I did when I was disfellowshipped I was out in the world so it’s irrelevant but I highly doubt they will think this way. It’s like they want me to be punished for longer or want me to feel more shame for what I’ve done which is impossible because I cannot.

Yes, on point. I was in the organization a couple of decades, and recall that kind of talk (me included) among the “friends” when someone was disfellowshipped. The shunning is real. The witnesses will see you and treat you as if you’re invisible or don’t even exist. Wake up you active Jehovah’s Witnesses.
