I am so glad that I left the DOOMSDAY CULT of Jehovah's Witnesses. I don't miss anything about that CULT. It's great to know that so many are leaving and waking up. Most JWS absolutely don't want to be there. Let's help them get free.

👋Warm greetings from SW Florida ❤ I recently attended the Spanish Regional Convention. The most boring assembly, honestly! The clapping was low, tired... deflated. Low attendance, so many empty seats... I struggled to stay awake, and sensed a feeling of discouragement among many there. It's time to remove the Friday. It's nothing more than a constant regurgitation of the same 💩💩💩 the entre time. 2 days is more than enough.

I can’t believe I used to sit at the assembly hall for that long. I would be screaming and pulling my hair out if I went their now lol. I jump up and tell everyone to get up! Run for your lives!

I remember from a teenager on the very 1st day of the assembly and after the song we remained standing for ANNOUNCEMENTS and they would say they would ALWAY announce a $10,000 deficit and i always questioned, that how could we use that much electricity and water being there for less than 3 hours. Nobody could ever answer that question. I found the answer from JT and Lady Cee. ITS A FUNDRAISER!

It's been about two decades now, Conventions have been at assembly halls, this year 2024 It's been empty, all the Facebook pictures from different friends going on different dates or weekends show the attendance is " really " down It's looks so depressing and discouraging 🙄🤦🏽‍♀️!!!

My self righteous sister n law always thought I wasn't spiritual enough and would expect me to be encouraged or 'put in line' from the convention and ask me what I thought of all the spiritual food and I would always say 'they say the same thing every year, it's never new' she would be furious with me! 😂😂😂 No wonder I left and she's more self righteous than ever and shuns me!!!

Ugh...when I was still in, the district convention was in my hometown in WV. I didn't even get to travel someplace to deal with the crazy. And now they're having the district convention where they have the circuit assemblies? Wow...lol

I remember the 4 days at Yankee Stadium. Thursday was a half day but still ended around 5 p.m. Absolutely brutal!!

I got family that go to the Nutter center and weekend before last they only had 3100 as the high on Saturday!! Place looked like a ghost town and I loved to hear it😂😂😂

Here in NC almost all conventions the last two years has been at an assembly hall... My dad claims it's bc it's more "comfortable" but in reality it's bc it's expensive and not a lot in attendance

I remember going to Convention in the Bay Area in California, fittingly at the Cow Palace. In retrospect everyone shuffling in like a heard of cattle going to their seats on uncomfortable seats and people getting baptized in huge agricultural troughs. It was so hot and sweaty. Expensive too because the partnering hotels the society got deals with for people to stay at were the Westin, the Hyatt, and other expensive places. Between hotel rooms, food, gas, etc it was expensive. Then of course it was like a fashion show almost everyone in my congregation always would purchase new dresses and shoes for the Convention.

Hi Awaken Truths. I definitely don't remember anything fun or happy about the conventions of jws LOL!!!!! I do remember everyone walking around & not really talking to each other except for people stopping to talk in groups of the "friends." I went to my last convention while disfellowshipped and I ate lunch at my seat with my wife at the time. I wasn't going to sit in the hot car. My attitude is that if someone doesn't like me they can move themselves away from me. I'm not gonna disappear just so someone else can feel comfortable. This was back in 1998 at Veteran's Stadium in Philly. I also fell asleep after lunch.

😂 I remember years ago a talk during the convention and afterwards at the TMS about complaints that the JW were reported negligent about tipping the local restaurants or cleaning staff while being there and that it was reproach on Jehovah. So I’m thinking, first some can’t even afford the new clothes, the hotels, the food on the trip, gas, contributions that they continuously guilt trip you about. Knowing how hard it was for my family of 8 kids, I felt so sorry for those that would camp out in the parking lot (I doubt if that’s acceptable anymore). The wanted you to use this time as your vacation🤦🏼‍♀️ You reminded me the only thing I enjoyed was when I got to walk around and see my friends (set up get togethers😉) and the drama, but then the dramas got to be boring..”snoozefest”😂😂😂 good one Jeven! 19:32 As a pimo introvert, they're boring period, especially when talking to those so-called "friends" I'm forced to "associate or get to know" with. It's very draining and makes me depressed and discouraged in the inside from their fake love-bombing until the long ride back home, locking myself in my room and have every single deep regrets in the inside wasting my life and time making fake friends for no reason. Even people from the hall I grew up in forcing me to be the open, extroverted, and sociable person I once was as a clueless 11-16 year old kid who doesnt know who he's actually talking and being "friends" to. The isolation I experienced throughout my school years is exactly why I changed to be an introvert at 17 to this day for 5 yrs now. To everyone, including the creators reading this, apologies for this long rant paragraph about my experience because this timestamp definitely caught my attention immediately to share it.

2:10 here in Michigan they have the district conventions (now called "regional convevtion") at a smaller arena and one of the two the assembly halls here for a while now!

Another thing I would like to point out is that in the very early 1990's, Saddam Hussein attacked Kuwait in order to gain control of the oil supply in that region. My dad even said that he believed that Saddam Hussein was like John the Baptist for the anti-Christ. Christians in the 1990's and early 2000's wanted a war with Iraq to bring about Armageddon; that's the real reason why George Bush went to war with Iraq. That's how destructive Christianity is; now Saddam Hussein has been dead for almost 18 years nothing happened with Armageddon, and Christians act like they never believed that Saddan Hussein was either the anti-Christ or the precursor to the anti-Christ. Christianity is every bit as crazy and deceptive as the JW cult.

I live in Western Australia which is huge. If you live in outback, it’s a huge trip to make for convention. Especially if you have a family for accommodation, can’t afford to fly. You are up for a two day drive one way

i remember the last convention i went, I wanted to help with the arrangements, i was so brainwashed i didn't mind if I had to sacrificed a work hours, but not i got denied because "I had to be priveledge to help...." man they only do that so one feel at your best working for free.

I never thought about the difference in language regarding Memorials vs Conversations until you bought that up but wow... there's definitely a difference. Also, I can remember being asked not to leave the arena during lunch at Convention also. It seems so crazy now sitting back and thinking about everything.

Here in my country, imagine the branch was giving instructions Not to wear casual outfits even in the hotel cuz will not give good impression of JWs during those convention days😅, T SHIRTS and JEANS were No No😮This was one of my red flag😂Imagine after those tiresome day at the convention hall and we still gotta wear proper outfits at hotel facilities, CRAZY!

I’ve seen JWs being downright disrespectful & just kinda mean to people with disabilities like autism & downsyndrome for being antsy & anxious because many with developmental disabilities can’t just be expected to just sit still for hours at a time without getting up to walk around. Especially in a very large crowded place with lots of people and noise. But sadly some JWs either have no proper knowledge about disabilities or they are just ignorant and expect developmentally disabled individuals to be just like people with no disabilities and one sister who lives in my apartment building & her best friend (2 of my bullies) actually had the nerve to tell me I really “need to pray to Jehovah” to get over my autism… because apparently being autistic is something that is our own fault according to these 2 sisters… and we can “get over it” if we “really pray to Jehovah.” Oh also these are the same 2 who told me I look ridiculous when we are walking outside and I cover my ears when a fire truck or ambulance goes by with the sirens on. They told me it’s embarrassing to them being seen with people who cover their ears at very loud noises. I have never in my life had bullies or been made fun by “worldly people.” Sadly the people who became bullies and been mean or made fun of me, happen to be some of the JWs. “Worldly people” are the ones who are truly loving & kind to me.🫶🏽💖

I couldn't wait till it was over! I used to always think about why they made us stand for the announcements like we were children and then say you may be seated. The last convention i sat right down after the song i wasn't doing that anymore lol.

Lol I got a pamphlet stuck in my door inviting me to the JW convention.

I hated conventions growing up, I would even fall asleep. My father was very strict and abusive, he would never take me or allow me to go anywhere to have fun, I was stuck at home all of the time. for conventions, we always had to travel so I would get excited at the thought of a trip and staying in a nice clean hotel, because my "hollier than thou" (never an elder) father was a filthy person (even worse today), the home I lived in was bad and we were super poor from him always quitting 'part time' jobs. Plus, our home had evil spirits from his hypocrisy. He hated every KH because people knew him and didn't like him, he always searched for a KH that accepted him for who he was, and he's finally in it now and still a huge abusive hypocrite to my mother, and I'm labeled "the devil's child" and an "apostate" even though im still a believer of Christ and the God.. So nice to be away from it! Over 6 months now, but I still get hell from some people.

I remember one year the convention was held at the local basketball arena. The seats were so uncomfortable. Not made for sitting 6 plus hours.

We missed my fifth grade completion/graduation ceremony for the convention back in the day.

And you are so right when you said how the conventions are the same since I was a kid!..I'm 58 years old now..lol...It's CONDITIONAL LOVE!...my oldest brother is a Circuit Overseer,he calls on occasion..but he always tells me at some point of the conversation to "get myself together "!...lol...look at the 1968 edition of the "Truth" book....that's the book that was used back in the late 1960s thru early 1970s..that bought in more people than ever for the JWs!-including my Mom....

Just think folks, years ago conventions used to run two weeks! It gradually cut down as years went by. Many brothers and sisters jobs were jeopardized!

I remember being at a convention in Toledo Ohio, and after the convention, me and my family went to our Hotel room, changed into our shorts, and went out to eat and walk around. Next thing you know the governing modern day Pharisees body told the witnesses to keep on the clothes you wore to the convention.

I really enjoyed this video and could relate to so much. I was a JW in my teens and left when I was 18. I'm sure the large conventions in the UK were 4 days during the 80's. For me, the best parts back then were the dramas, my Step-Dad's homemade bread, my Mum's chicken, showing off my new clothes and seeing my friends 🙂

1:46 Yep! They are now being held at assembly halls. I lived here in Georgia all my life and during my time as a JW, for conventions we always met a center or an arena. And every convention was packed out to the point where we couldn’t find any seats. But ever since they switch back to in person meetings and assemblies, I’m just looking at family attending the at the assembly hall and them telling how great it was and this is the “fasted growing religion.” The math is not mathing.

Someone did a video on this. Basically, WT would try to get free rooms by guaranteeing that all they would have a large number of people booking. It was basically so the traveling speakers could get free rooms 😂. As always, they were like "eff them followers", we need to take care of the top dogs.

I thought of something; Christians and JWs never say, "I have knowledge that this religion is true." They always say, "I have faith that my religion is true." The word faith literally means, "I don't know for a fact that my religion is true, but I believe/think that it is." The word faith leaves room for uncertainty/error/or being wrong. Religion revolving around the word faith literally means that they don't know whether or not they are right; religious people don't even know what the word means.

Im no longer shocked by how exactly the same it is! Everyone learning the exact same thing, the same boring way. I looked forward to convention as a kid because i got to see new "friends". It was like a little vacay. As i got older i started napping 😂 it was soooo boring. I looked forward to watching people get baptized on saturday that was about it. Something about going in the water 😂😂😂. But I'm noticing more and more that assemblies are taking place in small halls not big places. It's very odd Perhaps it's those small numbers

They’ve been using assembly halls for the past years in Houston since I’ve moved here 9 years ago and back home in Chicago. I think they’re trying to keep all the money in house instead of having to pay for facilities… greedy 😂

When I was trying to get reinstated, I was told no. One of the reasons was because I would hang out with other df’d people at meetings and conventions/assembly. They said I was taking advantage of Jehovahs “loving arrangement” by not taking my discipline of solitude with Jehovah seriously.

Oh yes, the sleepy time after lunch. Me and my spouse would both be out, not to mention the kids lol. Especially if there was a person with a monotone boring voice. It was over. I used to try to stay awake, but I just said forget and would go on an take a nice nap.

Attendance is down quite a bit, people are making excuses, trying to nake it look better by saying how fast it is to be able to find a seat, and how the lines aren't so long for the sisters. They're so thankful to jehovah for the arrangement being purposefully planned this way...... yeah right! 😅😂 it's showing the dwindling Attendance & member decline!

We thought the conventions were fun until we had a real vacation.

One of my sisters invited me to attend last Sunday's session ,,here in Chicago (@ the Romeoville Assembly hall)..it was so crazy!..I hadn't set foot in that place since 2019..and to top it off, my ex Wife was there as well!..she treated me like a stranger!..we were married 14 years...smh...the guys wearing beards,ladies in pant suits, etc...had close to 2700 in attendance though!..lol..and no ties!..lol

And they don't use the word Disfellowshipped anymore!...lol smh...and btw my ex wife still have my last name on her badge!!...my family, especially my Brothers, are somewhat known here on the Southside of Chicago!..not cool in my opinion..you guys keep up the good work!..love your videos...

Well… they used the assembly hall this year for the Regional. I am from San Diego and What happened is they tore down the old stadium and built a soccer stadium I think. so don’t know if that is why they don’t have regional at a stadium anymore or what. I remember in the past they had some sort of deal to use the football stadium in exchange for cleaning it and making repairs to the stadium. But since they tore it down and built a new stadium maybe they don’t have that deal anymore. It was an old stadium and I’m sure the new one they would have to pay to rent it now. Which ain’t cheap. My last time I was in SD and attending the regional(2019) right before covid shut down I did notice that every year the attendance be less and less. I can’t imagine with the low attendance that renting a stadium would make any sort of financial sense.

I used to wear badges at the convention, as a non baptized publisher. I even knew people, that were only studying. Used to wear them.

Yep! When I was DF I would take me and my two little kids out to our car and eat and just hang out for the entire what ….1 and half break. lol And I parked way in the back to avoid awkward conversations and telling people oh I’m DF , when people would approach. Like I had some sort of deadly plague. Don’t get tooo close! lol

For about ten years or better I really pushed myself at these conventions. Taking notes, and struggling to pay attention. For about 6 years I would also make recordings. Generally it was the same old format. And the same old information. I was not getting closer to Jehovah. And there was no great revelation. I was just going around in circles. Year after year. Though making a great effort. And if you’re one of those Jehovah’s witnesses that not many people like. And you’re single. You could be alone in a stadium of 10,000 , 12,000, or even 17,000 people. And you’re going out of your way just to be there. How in the heck could these conventions seem like a blessing, when that’s your experience with them?

You could probably just format a badge in photoshop or something and sneak in!

Last year was my family's LAST time suffering through a convention. At Coraopolis, PA Assembly Hall. Yeah it doesn't feel as special at an assembly hall. Lame. 😂

The org is an idol. A Golden Calf. How is it the org can proclaim it has direct communication from God. This stuff is scary. Better make sure the org is not using witchcraft, medium or sorcery. The org can't get things right.
