Forget a body, put some handcuffs on that man. (not on this vid but earlier in that game I remember that) Uh oh watch the dunk! I saw it coming. NO He's gonna need help, He's gonna need help, He's gonna need help He's gonna need HELP! Boy, he's cold-blooded Bill. The commentary.
This goes to show anyone can make anyone look like a clutch player or choker by changing the parameters of what they define as "clutch". I've seen parameters that make LeBron look like the greatest clutch player ever. I've seen parameters that make him look like a choker - it's all about agenda. Based on the eye test LeBron never really seemed that clutch, but he did get the job done well enough
Agenda or not, his chokejobs in the finals have largely been painted over since 2016 (including G7 in 16). So desperate is the media and his fans to create a MJ dramatic arc, that they will ignore most of these moments and focus on... lets say a defensive play with 2 min to go in a game. My parameters were not designed to expose Lebron. His stats looks great using these bounderies when he destroyed the Raptors, Pacers and the rest of the East. But in the finals he has never really been able to handle the weight of MJ's perfection. And he was playing great defensive teams who knew how to expose his limited 1on1 bag.
@@nikosvault I'm talking moreso about agendas in general. Like I've seen just about every all time great - Kobe, LeBron, KD, Curry, etc described as both the best clutch player and the worst clutch player. That's why it's important to watch the games. And yes I agree - LeBron was great against Eastern conference fodder but never seemed that clutch in finals competition. Especially vs teams like SAS/DAL/GSW (analytic teams) who always give up mid range shots
Couple points 1) Kobe seemed to burn out by the time of the finals in 2009 and 2010 - he clearly looked gassed at the end of games. He didn't get the same lift on his shots, his shots were often way off, he looked tired all around as well 2) People bring up Kobes poor 4th quarter shooting percentages in 2010, but almost half his shots were desperation shots/at the end of the shot clock. He was 2/9 (22%) on those shots in just this video alone, of course his 4th quarter shooting stats were poor. He wasn't great in the clutch either but also not as bad as the stats showed
Kobe was actually named after a Japanese City called Kobe not steak. In America his name was pronounced Ko-Be when the factual enunciation is Ko-bey spelled like Kobe but with a hyphen over the E💯
“I’ve never seen a Laker player in one game play much better than this” Chick Hern saying this about a 21 year old Kobe Bryant is crazy. This is a guy who watched so many previous Laker legends. I can’t believe people think Kobe isn’t top 3 or top 5
My favorites in this group are probably Willow and the Land Before Time. Gosh I love his scores! Starting with the group featured in Part 3, particularly An American Tail which was my intro to his music as a teenager.
