Got mine. Sadly it doesn't seem to charge at all with the supplied USB-C cable or any other USB-C cable. Even tried a battery bank, since nothing else worked. Very sad.
Saw great reviews for this mic but it was a little let down for me. Wanted a xlr mic for my audio mixer. This mic sounds great but 2 things. The volume seems to get low/muffled at times. And the bracket screws do not tighten enough to hold the mic in place. Maybe that is a defect with mine but expect better when new. But when it does work, it sounds great.
Thanks for sharing that. For the volume issue you can try to put a compressor in your audio processing that will help the volume for lower voice and higher voice to be closer together.
Does it make any noise when it’s on? I saw a review that said it makes a sound and will ruin any audio you record if you use a shotgun mic on your setup… Could you confirm? Thank you!! Great review :)
This was extremely helpful thank you very much. A wonderfully produced review with no faff. Just purchased this and looking forward to incorporating it into my videos. Thank you again 🙏🏻
That’s great to hear. I’m glad I was able to provide you with some valuable information about this slider. It’s definitely going to help improve the quality of your videos. I hope you enjoy it 😁😃😄
Yes, you can. You just need to switch the output settings of the HDMI to 1080 FPS 60 frames per second then you can view the footage and film 4K 60 FPS if needed.
In the settings, there is a image flip option. I’m pretty sure I went over that in the video you can program it to the custom button so it’s easy to toggle on and off if you slide up one of those quick action icons is the flip flip you put your hand in and it matches the action.
There is a bunch out but none look to come close of the features and look/design. The app is very easy to work with especially because it works with Bluetooth and WiFi. I set mine up to my favorite theme and connect it to Alexa then just control with voice. When I want to switch the theme I have to open the app tho
Hey William. Thank you or the video. Do you have a video that teaches editing the audio of an AM8 mic?? I just got the mic and I wanna go the extra mile.
I found you when I bought my Govee LED lights and I genuinely think you should make more content when possible. The videos you make always have my attention and you have lots of potential in my opinion
What’s good Anthony. Thank you for your continued support. I really appreciate it. You are absolutely right, need to be more consistent with my content and maybe more variety. I am committing to that now. So you will see more video’s being release 💯💯🙏🏽
Maybe it’s the hdmi output settings on your camera? Make sure that is at its highest resolution 4k 30fps. Or maybe the settings of the monitor. Do you see the settings of your camera on the monitor? What camera are you using
Thanks so much for comparing the XLR and USB-C across all these models. It was nice to be able to jump back and forth in the footage to compare the sound. Really helped me make a decision. Most of the reviews I found only compared XLR or USB-C (not both). Great review - thanks again!
One more thing - I'm looking at these mics to make RU-vid vids. I'm also looking at boom arms since I don't yet have one. Do you have recommendations on boom arms? Or maybe links to the ones you own/use?
Wasup Brandon. Thanks so much for your comment. I’m happy I was able to help you out to find the best mic for you. Which one are you leaning towards? For boom arms the one in the video is the Fifine BM88 amzn.to/4ddkv4X It’s low profile and comes in a few colors but is a higher cost. I also use this cheaper one amzn.to/4gtBRgF that does the same thing for a lower cost. I hope that helps
hello I am back lol I was having trouble with the hdmi I got the hdmi in the right in and out but on the screen it still says no signal any tips on how to make it work?
lol welcome back! Have you tried plugging in like a laptop or gaming console? Double check that your hdmi cable is working correctly. The highest input is 4k 30fps so if the signal is higher than that it will not work. Try changing the output settings to 1080 and see if that works.
@@Cyevm do you have the WiFi settings enabled on your camera? Try this: ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-3mrB221Dx44.htmlsi=qfYHu-B1h3Im_eib
The govee camera option would been a better option since most budget sync boxes cap at 60fps and you will need to run the output from the source and loop to TV so the output would scale down to 1080 60Hz which is its highest resolution
I have Fifine A6T, it was great in the beginneing but now it doesnt work anymore, i don't know why. the RGB works and its recognized by Windows, but when i use it in my meetings, people don't hear me. I checked out all settings, I updated the driver, I do all possible things to fix it, but no way!!!!
Thank you! Yes you can clamp a mount to it. The drawer only extends about halfway to the back of the desk so the section where you mount the monitor doesn’t extend out. To do this safely I’d recommend adding a small piece of wood between the clamp and desk for added support. But you definitely can and it’s how I’m using now with an extra tall monitor mount with no issues. Hope that makes sense
Have you tried factory resetting the monitor? Should be in the user system tab. Try that first if not that then maybe you changed the hdmi settings on your camera?
Yes you would need to create a group in the app. for example I have one called desk and I can make all those lights in that group the same colors or themes or I can control them individually
i am a new beginner and i got a nex 7 for $300 like brand new with the kit lens a hood and 2 batteries and i heard that the lens that you are reviewing would bring out better quality videos for streaming
What’s good bro. Yes it will but you have to take into account the distance you’d need to have it back from you. If you just want your head in the shot you should be good but I’d recommend a sigma 16 mm as it is cheaper, wider and more versatile so the camera can be closer to you and have more of your body in the frame. You should search up focal lengths on crop sensor Sony cameras. So a 16mm vs 35mm to get an idea of you will have enough space to mount the camera and have you in the frame. I hope that makes sense. This lens is fire tho for portraits and headshots.
go to settings>system>Volume mixer> Input choose Fifine microphone. If you choose Fifine microphone in output of your audio settings when you play videos or any sound from your computer the sound comes out the headphone jack.
One question: Can you use it also in the manual way (not motorised), or you always have to use electric motor to have smooth movement? Just because sometimes, especially in sport, I would like to have direct control over the movement. Thanks in advance!
Hey William Nevius, I bought this mic with high expectations in watching your video, it is great I must say, I even got the low-profile arm. I am a streamer and just wondering why my mic sounds a little muffled when I stream or record with this mic, I use OBS to record and stream, I set it up right I think, just seeing if you had any suggestions or if you would know how to fix this because I really do love this mic.
How close are you speaking into the mic? Backing off can make it sound between..Are you talking directly into it or slighting angled off to the side? In obs you can add a high pass filter about 100hz -250hz to reduce the muffle. You can then add an eq and add in 1khz frequency 5khz and 10khz to dial in the sound you’re looking for. I hope this makes sense and you can consider these factors to enhance your audio. This mic does have a “podcast” sound meaning deeper bass in your voice so I’d recommend add the frequency slighting listed above to enhance your sound quality. Hope that makes sense and is helpful
@@WilliamNevius I do know this is a dynamic microphone so i do speak directly into it, I stay about 2-4 inches back from the mic, I will look into these tips thank you so much
the main thing is that he doesn't say anything about the microphone, which means that he doesn't understand anything about microphones or is cheating for money from the Chinese, what's good is that the sound from the microphone is not bad, it makes little noise and is enough, the sound is very close to the head and is not enough, the sound from afar is for recording in bad conditions, this is good, and the rest is terrible, it is impossible to touch the microphone and the wire, it's a bomb in the ears, no isolation of the head from the body, USB recording 16 bit 44 kilohertz and the sound is much worse than through the wire, a very weak signal comes through the headphone output and is distorted, good luck to everyone
I have this same mic and audio interface and always get complaints that its too quiet. Not sure what to do. Gain is all the way up and I'm pretty close to it.
Check all volumes on your computer are up because it shouldn’t be that low. Like computer volumes and inputs. If all else fails you can get a “Cloudlifter” (search in amazon) it’s a preamp that boost the signal db to make it louder.
