Dang again! I zoom lens could end up changing zoom over time. Didn't even think of that. I have a zoom lens, i have to find a prime lens for my camera... not sure which length to get though (actually you said 24mm later in the video)... but that's down the road.
Yes 24mm is the perfect focal length for most scenarios including filming yourself in smaller spaces and getting a lot of background and overhead setups lol if you have a zoom that can do 24 it works as well but primes are usually sharper image and can it 2.8 or 1.8 aperture for better low light scenarios.
C stands are great for so many different reasons when it comes to filming. Overhead of course, light stands too and they go high like 8 feet. Gotta get one one day they are so underrated and useful for filming 🙌🏽
ooohh meeeeeeen you are actually soo smart 😭😭😭 i couldn't find a cheap solution because all camera mounts sag with heavy lenses... the monitor mount is perfect and i even had an old one laying around...
Ahaha thank you! And Niceeee. Yes same way I figured it out with an old monitor mount laying around I said hmm I wonder if I connect the camera and… and was like ohhhh niceee. This works so well (;
Video timing on point. I was looking at diff ways to get a recording setup going. I usually have to break things down and set things back up to make my vids and it has made me say forgot it because of the setup process. I'm looking into a few products that i can use to fit my desk but def got some good tips from this video. great video and advice.
I know that feeling of the setup and breakdown. It ruins the creative process lol I have learned to have it setup and ready to go at all times to stream line the recording process. Make it as simple as all you have to do is hit record! Happy you were able to get some good info here in this video.
Great idea. I bought a Pro aim camera rig that's supposed to be 3 ft tall but it's actually not. Doesn't go up tall enough. Might go with your idea. It also seems like a lot of manufacturers for overhead camera rigs. The payload capacity is terrible. My camera weighs 4.4 lb so most of them won't work for me.
Yes, that is why I cam up with the idea I should off lol. If you're doing a table that stays setup the monitor mount is the best option for less clutter and saving floor space, but if you're going to switch it up, the C-Stand is honestly the best option since when you move the table, the camera doesn't shake. They also have wall mounts like the one you see the ballon looking light attached to my wall would be a great choice since it isn't attached to the table, so it is the same concept as the C-stand. Hope all that makes sense lol
@@WilliamNeviusyeah I'm going to take back the pro aim since I've only had it for a week. Definitely go with your idea. Definitely one of the best on the internet. I liked The fact thateach arm can can hold a good amount of weight and you have the other arm for the light which works out. I'll make sure I use your affiliate links. Thanks again.
Yes I’ve been there with the cheap desktop ones too and they are actually not too bad with a light setup. Gets the job done! That’s great to hear! Happy to share them 😁😁
