So after many years of traveling around this awesome country of ours in my trusty Troopy and Snap-Chatting most of my adventures. I thought I’d have a crack at a couple of RU-vid videos. From off-roading, touring, camping and fishing ... I hope you enjoy my new adventures.
I remember being around that way about 3 years ago and coming down the Eagle vale track and driving through the river at the bottom near the swing bridge at the start of spring when the river was at its highest , water was over my bonnet but made it through. Thanks buddy for bringing back some good memories and great content thats worth watching.

I reckon I could get my '91 Corolla down it. Suprisingly quickly if it was wet. F**k knows what I'd do then though? Anything with a hill fits the bill. 🇦🇺👍

There is no denying how steep that is mate. Not a place for making mistakes that’s for sure The Troopy loves it hey 💯👊👌 It’s awesome being over here in WA and getting to see how Beautiful the VHC still is. Yeah Griffo, nothing is going to change even though Dan has moved on. Everyone needs to change the way they vote, but I reckon the state is beyond repair. @@aguyandhistroopy I was wondering if you walk back through the river crossings to get your camera or you drive back over? Just curious to see if ya do it in comfort or you rough it.
@@scottroygbiv depends on the rivers, if setting up on the other side I’ll walk it so you don’t see wet tyre marks, and have one on both sides, but normally I’ll drive back over and pick the first one up if it’s deep otherwise walk.

Great trip mate, still keen to drive Herne Spur one of the tracks I haven't done yet. That bridge at Eaglevale is nuts, I could barely move on the thing!

Great vid krusty. Did the reverse of this run a few year ago. Specky scenery for sure. Certainly a hell of a drive in one day! What happened to the Zika Spur track section? Was looking forward to seeing that - I have heard the full range of comments about it - everything from 'disaster' to 'fine but slow'.
@@aarone8013 Aaron, I actually captured the whole lot of Zeka, just couldn’t fit it into this episode and didn’t want to do a stand alone episode. Heading to Wonnangatta after the closures so will knock up an episode then. It was a little rough in spots, could be a little intimidating for a novice but otherwise it was fine. @@OffroadAdventures-s3j Yeah, I only went through Wonnangatta and up Herne as it was the most direct route home, not saying the quickest, but that my nature, just one more track. 🤦🏽🤣 So if something was gunna happen it normally would. I did have a steering issue just before heading down Eaglevale track which had me stumped for a while. Be a good one for the bikes,few river crossings and some steep sections and the Dargo Pub not to far away. lol Thanks for watching Cam, your ongoing support is greatly appreciated. 👍🏼

Awesome trip Gav, definitely agree parts of Herne spur is one of the steeper tracks in the VHC, but plenty other just as steep hahah The troopy made light work of it though as any decently setup rig does 👍 What drivers seat you running there? Keep up the great work pal !👍
@@James_James01 thanks James, be interesting to see how they judge the steepness, I’d say total elevation, over the length to the track maybe. It’s a pretty short climb from the last river crossing. But yeah you are right plenty of others that match Herne Spur for sure. The troopy loves being in L4 -and crawling around the place. First time I’ve been there, just out and about exploring on a snow day at work. My uncle always said it was good fishing up in there, no point me wasting my time fishing ! 🤣🤷🏼

That track seemed to go up forever. Any further up and you would have needed oxygen. As for the bridge you looked like you had been on the beers. I can’t imagine the effort involved in setting up some of those shots. Thanks for putting it up. Really enjoyed it.
@@kentitcume645 true, it’s all up apart from 2 sections, and a couple of real steep spots. I’ve heard of motorbikes riding across the suspension bridge, now you’d have to be on the beers to do that I reckon.🤣🤣 Yeah. Agree 100%, Herne Spur is up there for the steepest award. The camera doesn't really capture it but there are bits there that are well over a 35 degree slope and it just keeps going straight up. Great episode and hope to catch you out on the tracks when they open in T minus 10 weeks and counting 🤪

@@trickster8635 I reckon there could be 2 sections that could be close? Hard to say without certain technology which the troopy definitely isn’t fitted with. 🤣 The first section after the river crossing is steep and loose and shaley. I doubt it’s the steepest in the VHC but it would test the nerves of a few intermediate 4wders.
