Getting Lost ain't always Bad - Wadbilliga NP - Cascade Falls

I took another detour on the way from work at the Snowy 2.0 Hydro Scheme to check out the Cascade Falls not far from Cooma as I had heard so much about them. But in the process of finding them I took a wrong turn, I certainly wasn't disappointed as I drove through some amazing country with spectacular scenery.
I finally made it to my destination in the Cascade Falls on the Tuross River that afternoon some 6 hours later then I should of.
The Cascade Falls didn't disappoint that's for sure.

Great drive hey !! they have done a lot of work to it, whole track has been graded … would of been a better if this wasn’t the case. Say it would get a bit slippery in places. Thanks for watching 👍🏼

Beaut spot, not far from me either. Get my diff/transfer case/ gearbox breathers in next week and I’m in to it. Might have to do an over nighter down there before it gets busy nearing the summer months. I don’t worry about getting lost. There’s always something to discover even if it’s not your original destination. Old jungle saying, “time spent in reconnaissance is time never wasted". Thanks mate another good one, cheers BobbyB.

Well I’m gunna sound like a Aussie bogan, I have a passport but have yet to put a stamp in it, and probably won’t for a lot of years to come. Hey Terry, thanks mate, means a lot. I reckon it looks the goods, just sorting out the supporters stickers now for it. It’s fixed … lol. No damage to anything else from what I can gather which is a good thing. It was starting to move float around and moving forward when I was just out from home, could of been real bad. 🤦🏽

Where have you been? This is the first time in six months that one of your videos have appeared on my YT Home Page recommendations ( even though I am a subscriber ). I’m definitely been here mate, been dropping an episode every 2 weeks just for you Phil ! 🤦🏽😂 As DailyGrind said the notification button will help you get an alert when they drop. Been looking at the DJI mics for ages, will be getting a couple soon, just keep having issues with the troopy that keep making me dig into my pockets a little to regularly. Been a couple of trips I haven’t been able to make into episode due to the wind noise in them. So it has to happen. Ill just yell a bit to I get some !!👍🏼👍🏼😂 Good to see you back.

Just discovered your channel. Enjoy the content and the laid back approach. I see you've travelled a lot in the Vic. High country. Have you ever driven the Limestone Road from Benambra to Suggan Buggen? I want to do it in mid November and any comments would be very helpful. I'm not sure whether my vehicle would cope. 4WD mitsubishi van , 4WD is ok but not very high clearance an no snorkel. Any comments much appreciated. John.

Hey John, glad you discovered it mate. Have only driven it the once as I have been up in QLD for 26 years till just recently. You won’t have a drama mate, from what I remember, it’s a 2WD road, but could get a bit slippery with some rain maybe. Native Dog Flat is a nice campground along the way, will most likely see brumbies there. I reckon the road to Suggan Buggan is worse, especially if your afraid of heights. Thanks for taking the time out to watch. 👍🏼

I think you got a bumsteer from that cocky. Done that loop many times, you should just kept going up Berowra Rd. It's a great run and good to see the tracks and campgrounds finally reopened.

Yeah, looking at the maps it’s a similar distance. Didn’t have much in the way of reception on that day. It’s was a good drive either way, reckon that Lake Creek Campground would be awesome in Summer. Thanks for the comment mate! 👍🏼

Hey Gav, when did you do this? I was in the process of planning a club trip down that way after seeing your vid but the NPWS office says Wadbilliga Rd west of Lake Creek is closed and has been for some time.

@@wasbruce about the 10th of July. Track had just been graded a couple of days before I went I’d reckon. It was graded west of the concrete causeway on the Wadbilliga River.

@@wasbruce if ya on Insta, hit up gq.adventures, they drove it the same day. No road closed signs when you come off Tuross Rd, just says that the river crossing have changed after recent floods, drive with care or something like that?! You could drive a sedan the whole way if it was dry.

Hey mate, it’s a nice area, worth getting lost in. 😂 Its a discontinued awning by SupaPeg, was called the StandEzy. Great quality awning, wasn’t cheap, I’ve had it on the troopy for nearly 9 years now. Thanks for watching 👍🏼
