Bookend Productions is a non-profit Theatrical Productions company based in London. We started to company with the means of giving Professional performers, who have had no opportunities to practice their craft since March 2020 when There's were closed, something to look forward to in these troubling times, and something that they can feel good about.
We have a number of 'in person' projects planned for the future, but until Theatres can reopen safely, all projects will take place online.
I didn't know what I was listening to at first, so I thought the guy singing Clopin was the original voice actor (somehow?). Needless to say, he did great.
“He saw corruption everywhere except within” “Who is the monster and who is the man” “You can’t hide what you’ve done from the eyes of Norte dame” That ending, goosebumps! This song and movie shall remain one of the absolute best, bravo to you all ❤
Wow! Personally, I've had a really cr*p week, the sort of week that makes a person despair of humanity. That was just what I needed. Talented people producing something wonderful. Skill and artistry reminds me why I get up every morning. Art is so important, in all its forms.😌
"You can LIE to yourself and your *minions*, you can CLAIM you haven't a qualm! But you NEVER can run from, nor HIDE what you've done from the very eyes...the very eyes of Notre Dame!" One of my absolute favorite lines bar none.
This is so magnificent I don't even know how to explain it. I have loved this music since I was in high school, and this production is POWERFUL. I've always loved the word play of "Some say the soul of the city's the toll of..." However, there are so many powerful moments. It's just one after another. From the meaningful dialogue to the foreshadowing of "Dies Irae," the character development, the absolutely ridiculous orchestral score, and the vocal range, it is clearly Menkin's best score in my opinion. Some day, I will conduct this. Some day.
I just got goosebumps hearing this!❤ And BRAVO to the singer of Clopin's role. I could hear the mischievousness of his character, and also has the incredible power to sing the song ❤
Beautiful! The guy doing Clopin is stunningly good. Goose bumps. But, um, sorry, there's no replacing Tony Jay; Frollo really needs more menace and self-righteousness in the voice work. But this is my favorite Disney movie and without doubt the best opening number ever. Everyone here did a fantastic job! I love the effort and performances. Brava!!
