My grandfather who was a big N.Y. Yankees fan would show fear and respect for Fisk, everytime he would come up to bat in Yankee Stadium, my grand dad would mutter 'uhh crap here comes that lumberjack to bat" 😂 when it wasn't Fisk it was Rice, I believe that both of them were notorious against the Yankees at the Stadium career wise.

Fisk was a throwback even in his own time, playing the game with full bore intensity, guts and determination. Just the sort lacking in today's game which goes a long way toward explaining why baseball has fallen from grace as our "National Pastime".

First of all, sis, laying on top of Munson and another slayer didn’t happen where you got your fax from he couldn’t shine shoes. He was a self-centered asshole just like Deion Sanders was cause you played a lot of games doesn’t make you a great player. You would not a great very average, Dan didn’t die in a plane crash. Thurman would’ve been in the Hall of Fame long time ago. This has to be a guy and do you know what he never won anything

wow ok Fisk was just the average catcher yes he was an all star and was know for the extra inning homerun in the 75 series probably what was so dark was when he played for the reds ox because Yaz Rice said playing in Beantown was difficult but the funny thing is they stayed Fisk the same way but signed with the the sox . He didn't give Muston his props during his HOF speech

Enjoyed the video, surprises me, I've read a great deal on Joe D. but I forget the name of his roomie on the road who's career was supposedly extended because he was Joe's choice as a roomie and said something to the effect of "being Joe Dimaggio's roommate is the loneliest job in baseball" because it was his job to play cribbage and other card games with joe and he rarely went out and would order 15 pots of coffee from room service and smoke about 12 packs of cigarettes. Halberstams "Summer of 49" gives alot insight on the Yankee Clipper and wrote the Yankees offered him $100,000 for 1952 and he would only have had to play home games.

Joe D led the Yankees to 10 World Series winning 9 no one else can claim that his 56 game hitting streak had held up for 83 yrs and may never be broken Mays Mantle before he blew out his knee and Clemente may have been better athletes but not better baseball players the record speaks for itself add the fact he married the hottest girl on the planet that alone puts him in the top 5

The video would be great if it didn't have so many mis-statements of the facts. This is what happens when Ai takes over...you don't get the truth, but it sounds so professionally done that most people can be so easily misled into believing what they just heard ! Why so many people feel Ai is great is beyond my comprehension. The ending, stating the Reggie Jackson believed in DEi is pure bullsh-t. He was fine with Diversity, but to be a winner you can't buy into Equity and Inclusion. If you weren't any good at playing baseball he certainly didn't want you on his team...he'd tell you to stick Equity and Inclusion up your butt !! Again, I like your video, but just get a real person that that speaks well and knows the facts to do the presentation. And please keep it a male voice as that's what it should be.

Palmeiro was the one where I was actually surprised. He didn't hit legendary moon shots like McGwire, Sosa, Bonds or Canseco. His home runs went four rows back. Plus, he played in Wrigley, Camden and Arlington which all had pitching wedge right field distances. And his body never really changed; he got heavier as he got older, but he never had the massive before and after looks of all the other players.

As a fielder ............ he was a good hitter ! Joe was a good hitter, once he was a great streak (56) and solid player in general. He was not the hitter TED WILLIAMS was ..... and Joe's resentment of MICKEY MANTLE being his REPLACEMENT in Historical Legacy / Yankee Lore ! Mantle played 18 years, had 18 WS Homers (STILL RECORD) was a SWITCH HITTER and had MORE HOMERS (536) Stolen BASES and faster of foot, better catching Flies (SAVED Don Larson's WS Perfect Game) ...... I think your post may be less than accurate. Typical babble.
