Absolutely loved this video! It's so refreshing to find content that's both informative and entertaining from a non native Japanese speaker who's went through the same learning process. Speaking of learning, if anyone's interested in diving deeper into Japanese, I've been using apps like Ling and other online resource such as NHK Japanese to expand my knowledge. They've been incredibly helpful in making learning accessible and fun. Keep up the great work with these videos-I'm already looking forward to the next one!

Hi John, Haha No. Hiragana and Katakana took me about two weeks total to master. I dedicated a few hours each day to practice. This is what helped me with the methods I had available at the time: Consistent practice of at least 30 minutes to an hour daily. Flashcards to memorize characters. Writing practice I wrote out each character daily. Reading practice I read simple words and sentences daily. After I mastered this phase, then I just tried to use it in daily life while living out here in Japan. I know this is a long answer, but you asked an important question. Also I wanted to set expectations for others as well in their learning journey. Thank you for stopping by and commenting. Stay tuned for more!
