Welcome! I'm a Director in the animation industry with a huge passion for art, animation, games, and most things nerdy and geeky. I'm attempting to build a digital space that mixes my love for animation and games, and acts as an outlet for my creative endeavours.
Great video! You should use "Nearly Zero" and "greater than 0.1" instead of hard coding the transitions to 1 and 0 just incase someone's got a slightly wonky gamepad or keyboard :P
The video is very informative, thank you very much, I also accidentally closed the asset details section at 4:53 minutes and I don't know how to open it and I couldn't find any information about it. How can I get that part back?
I actually buried my best friend and little sister last week Wednesday. She was the model for the small game I planned on making that was supposed to be a tribute for a friend who passed on earlier. She passed on before she could even see her character model💔. It feels so surreal to know and understand what you're going through. I'm still working through it all, healing and whatnot, but it really encourages me to see you pushing. Maybe I'll find healing too as I try and make the game, I'm not sure yet but I'll get there. Keep going, keep inspiring, keep making🔥🔥 heartfelt condolences brother, we'll get there.
Oh wow. Heartfelt condolences to you as well. I am so sorry to hear that. What a loss, and I can understand how you must feel. Same to you. Keep pushing, keep going. If anything, once you feel ready to get back to it, it would be a way to honor her and pay tribute to her memory and your friend. I wish you all the best on your journey to heal.
@@ouvio thank you✨ means a lot. Initially it was supposed to be a side project but now it might become a passion project when I get back to it. Might end up sticking to the side project idea just so I can get a demo up and running for people to play while I add more, get feedback and polish it up. And I'll say it again, I'm grateful for people like you who keep going and inspiring us to do the same. ✨🔥 Thank you
With two of my fury family members already over the rainbow bridge, I can relate. It's great that this game will be in memory of Tyrion. What a handsome boy! Also, love thew animations on your MC. I too am trying to learn UE for the first time. Subbed to follow your journey!
Thank you so much for the kind words. It's always such a sad thing to see them off. As a kid, I never experienced that part of it, but man, this one was the hardest thing I have ever experienced. That is awesome! It's exciting when people decide to pick up UE and be creative. Thank you for following my journey, and welcome in :)
awesome my tip is too just have 3d movement and lock the y axis as you need and release it when you need. Pretty simple to do same movement as the 3rd person template.
Oh that's not a bad idea! I like that. Haven't thought about just doing that and it would definitely take care of all the stupid issues with the spline tool
First time coming across your channel/game and I got to say its got me hooked straight away! The art style and type of game hits all the right notes but also the sentiment behind it. As someone who has gone through a very similar loss I feel a huge amount of respect for your situation. Love what you're doing and take the time you need for both yourself and the game!
Thank you so much for the kind words. I think this is definitely a subject matter that a lot of people can relate to. It sucks to go through this experience, but our lives are enriched so much by having our pet companions in it.
Lovely work dude. I was wondering if you were coming back as I loved your animation so it's nice to see you again. Sorry to hear about Tyrion <3 I hope you're holding up okay.
No matter how long it takes, I'll always continue working on this and will try to update you guys, as frequently as I can. Thank you for the kind words and for sticking around :)
Really well done on the devlog, great storytelling, editing, and its really nice seeing the progress on your game so far. Looking forward to seeing more.
At 7:23 how did you manage to get the player to move up and down the Y axis? Is there a tut online? I been trying to find a good solution for that but have been unsuccessful. Following a spline doesn't seem to work for me with using paper2dSpine and paperzd.
I was following a few different tutorials on that subject. I don't remember exactly how I did it and looking at the code will take me a little understand what I did, but this video might be a good starting point ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE--V6D5WtemMI.html&ab_channel=MattAspland I am using 2 very small collision boxes at the start and finish that check if the player is overlapping and then I'm basically snapping the player capsule to the path. That's sort of the rough idea behind it.
Glad to see the Devlog, very touching video. Your doing well man, you got this. I know everyone probably says this but wow the visuals are looking soooo damn good. Great work
This looks amazing♡ I am a solo dev but more on artist scared to progress further in fear of the flooding amount of coding which im terrible at. You just inspired me to work more thanks^^
