Hello José I have a cd box with lot of music from Raff like the symphonies and ouvertures, but the suites too. Very beautiful music. The same performances, orchestra and conductor. I love the classical music from Raff very much to listen it over and over again I've a cd box with piano solo music from Raff too. And cd's with his stringquartets and choral music. All very lovely and beautiful classical works. 🎵🎻👍 Have a nice weekend, José
Hello José I have the symphonies from Hamerik on cd's The same orchestra and conductor Beautiful symphony I love classical music from Danish composers, all very beautiful 🎵🎻👍
I have a RU-vid collection of 700 favorite symphonies, with an additional collection of favorite emotional symphonies (about 50). The later list is far more subjective than I can give words to. It starts off with Howard Hanson's Symphony #2 Romantic. Beethoven and Brahms are powerful as they are are not on my favorite emotional symphonies list. I just added Fitelberg to that list. But the additions to both lists are slacking out, getting harder for me to find.
I heard this symphony played on Sirius XM radio’s Symphony Hall classical station today and came directly to RU-vid to find it. Apart from a couple of glitches (don’t know the reason for them), this is the best recording of it I could find here.
I found I really liked this Symphny. It seems it's a hi-brid of a Memdelssohn's spiritful or ninphal sound world with a bit of heaviness and granduar and Shubertian Symphonic sound texture but through-out the piece, one may find the serine air of the Austrian Alps ・・・・・ I'm really grateful for the encounter with this lovable piece. The Master was just 19 year's old or so when he wrote this piece with that gentle or calm state of mind. I just wonder what has triggerd or caused rebellious surge of torrents in his mind later on.
Hello José I have both symphonies from Rota on cd. Not this performance. Symphony 1 is very beautiful. You can hear the sun shining. And the painting is beautiful too. So thanks again 🎵🎻👍
Hello José I love this music very much Beautiful symphony with American influences from these black female composer. I love the harp at the end of part 2, very beautiful instrument. 🎻🎵👍

The symphony that marked his cathartic return to some semblance of normal health following his near-death trauma aboard his WW2 Arctic Convoy cruiser HMS Trinidad. The excellent pro-am London based Ealing Symphony Orchestra has been playing the symphonies as part of the composer's complete symphonic cycle . Their two London performances of this particular work received deserved praise..
What a big bold beautiful symphony. Much like Brahms. So why Brahms so popular and only now I hear of Robert Fuchs. We will never know. This so enjoyable as a real Germanic Romantic Period. Thanks for this reveal. Great orchestration. Great performance.
Very nice & worth a listen! Kayser doesn't strike me as having a strong musical profile. He's no Carl Nielsen, although the spirit of early Nielsen hovers over every bar. And that's a good thing!
