I watch RU-vid using my Xbox controller. I also play ALOT of Forza and Gran Turismo. In the race u have the option of using right stick to look behind the car , I find myself doing that watching these videos to see how many cops are following the lead squad car. LMAO habit reaction
So sad but also so awesome dude had alot of good friends. Rest i peace sir❤ My condolences to the family. But life goes on for the rest of us. Please thank God everyday you wake up to go on with your life.❤
Je ne comprends pas pourquoi la police ne tire pas sur les pneus ?!...😮, d'autant plus à plusieurs reprises le camion il était vraiment au ralenti !!.. incompréhensible.
Not that tossing to hook across wasn't cool, but it's far better to roll up the straps with the hook in the middle. Then you can throw the entire roll over and not worry about damaging anything as you hold on to the hook. I'm also pretty sure the strap is supposed to go through the gap, so the bar running along the edge can protect the strap If the trailer accidentally rubs against something.
I'm a truck driver, and I'm ready to go on strike NOW. We are getting treated like garbage and getting paid scraps. We cannot keep going on like this, and a lot of truckers are talking about it. No justice, no peace.
You know there’s more people that tie down their load wrong then the ones that know and learned properly? I got Guys at work that get those chains when they doing counterweights and rap them around like they trying to tie down their sneakers 👟 lol and you can’t tell them Otherwise cause they have another 20 who do the same….these are the same Dudes that burn 🔥 themselves out with the amount of effort they waste securing a load….simple straight line to the next connection point end of story! Lol
Had to sleep (try) in heat when AC went out. Results were inadequate rest and when I finally was able to fall asleep in the hot box I wake up shortly full of sweat. Open windows you are still hot and mosquito food.
With the government squeezing trucking companies and drivers sooner or later trucking companies are going to need to have a nation wide summit come together and put the government into check.
Don’t forget you got those retards that info their straps and tank the hook across the load then they gotta dodge it when it’s coming straight towards their face
DOT requires "2 securments" within the first 10 feet (if you don't have a bulkhead or headache rack). Doesn't matter if it's a strap or a chain. The rule still applies Chians and or straps are both considered "securment". So either or can work. I won't use chains at all, unless the customer ask for them.
I recently purchased ratchets with folding handle with a tab & hole for putting a padlock on it. Asswipes have been fucking with securement at the truck stops. In some cases pulling the lockpin on the fith wheel. See youtube videos. Moving the glands hand enough to lose air pressure. You have to check everything, every time you are away, when you return. Putting a tab with a hole on the fifth wheel to lock the lockpin. No one has pulled my lockpin. Seen numerous youtube videos though. Have had my glad hands fucked with, straps cut, chain binder pulled. I have no idea why. Not common, but has happened a few times over the years. Industry has hired way to many ex-cons. People who should not be driving in the first place. Who have seroius behavioral issues. Apparently some of them get shits & giggles. Putting peoples lives in danger. Keep the cameras, front, rear, sides, runing in parking mode. To pickup & record movement near your truck. Always do a walk around before moving. Flatbed & Dropdeck, securement check per regulations first 50 miles, then every 150 miles or three hours. Stay Safe CYA!
I challenge how you put your strap into the winch. Some CHP will state it’s not a secure load if the strap doesn’t completely go through the winch. Your method has more of a possibility of slipping out.
And if you *REALLY* have no clue, just have more weight-rated strapping than your actual load. So if the payload is 20k pounds and your straps are 5,400 pounds each, it would be a good idea to have 4 straps totaling 21,600 pounds. You can’t ever go wrong using your gut! Same goes for chaining…
A 4 inche strap is technically and legally capable of holding 10800 pounds. So technically and legally, you'd only need 2 straps for a 20k pound load. G70 Chains are 1000 pounds more. But your right about rounding up though.
