Gaia Health is focused on better education for women, specifically during the prenatal and postpartum periods. There is a large focus on educating women on how to repair their diastasis recti, get rid of urinary incontinence, and overall function better. There is also a focus on prenatal and postpartum fitness. Our goal is to help women know what exercises are safe during pregnancy and postpartum, along with knowing when to modify exercises.
Most beautiful baby lips!!! Also, i suffer immensly this second time around as well. It burns and keeps on burning. Many midwifes tried to help but it seems like the baby latches well but my boobs are oversensitive. I've tried coconut oil, all expensive cremes, nothing helps. But we'll go through it hoping that it will improve soon

I have a week old with me, and i am a c section mom. My baby was spoon fed in initial days due to less milk supply, but the feed wasn't enough. Then we switched her to bottled formula. Now that i am starting to get milk in my breasts, she isn't latching on my nipple. Any ideas?
There could be a few factors involved; this would definitely be a situation we would manage with a lactation consultant. Have you been working with one?
Pumping may be the best option at this point. Once the bottle is introduced the baby typically won’t take the breast. There’s a lot of work involved in nursing for the baby, a bottle (for lack of better terms) makes them lazy bc it flows so easily. Good luck❤
@@amberwilliams5839 that can make it challenging but not impossible, we have many babies who both breastfeed and bottle feeds based on the situations of the family and they are fine. Bottle are sometimes necessary but not the end of the journey, that is why lactation consultant can be very helpful in these situations to best assess and recommend what needs to be done to help baby latch
Thank you for sharing. I’m going to try this with my baby. She had lip tie surgery. But it did not improve at all. She still clicking bottle and breast. I’m going to try this.❤
Baby also has a posterior tongue tie. That’s why you’re still experiencing problems and clicking during feeds. 90% of babies with a lip tie will also have a posterior tongue tie.
How do you do this with larger breasts though? My baby has a recessed chin and the older she gets (currently 7 weeks) seems to have more trouble latching deeply. Ive got to hold my breast and her...i really need more arms to do this 😔
The lift is great but the belly sifting is not correct since your hips are swaying side to side. The movement is helpful but it’s just not showing the traditional sifting that can really relax the deeper ligaments and assist in baby’s optimal position. The mother should be passive and the rebozo is doing the work of gently and rhythmically moving the belly.
there are many ways to add layers to the foundational movement. Through reciprocal inhibition when one side moves the other side is forced to relax to allow that movement. Passive is great and we always preach that, but sometimes layering in movement can be very helpful as well! Thank you for the comment!
Welcome to your presence. I am 16 years old and I discovered that I have irritable bowel syndrome, which is very painful and causes constant abdominal bloating. Recently, I felt a pulsation inside my navel due to a lot of bloating and pressure. Do you know something that reduces the intensity of the annoying pain? Please note that I am in my studies and cannot complete my day normally. Please advise quickly if you can, please.
if you are in labor this most likely would not be as effective nor feel good, but based on the baby positioning you may consider different positions recommend by your birth team
Hello, I’ve been told I “can’t have sex again” because I suffer so badly from painful sex which leads to chronic cystitis. I’ve read a lot about it being helped with reverse kegal and relaxing your pelvic floor. Is this the kind of exercises that can help? I refuse to believe my sex life is over at age 27
cystitis can also be from foods that you eat... but in other cases where the Pelvic floor might be dysfunctional, it can pull and definitely have effects on all pelvic floor organs. Have you been working with Pelvic Floor physical therapists?
I have doming and have not been pregnant. I do have a small hernia near my belly button. This has happened within the last 2 years after being sick with covid pneumonia. Any ideas about what I should do? Who should I go to for help?
Not know you whole case the excessive pressure build up from prolong coughing most likely created this... I would say a skilled physical therapist or personal trainer to help rebuild core tension and strength. you have to be mindful of the hernia though and not making that worse
I am 22 weeks and since 20 I have been having the worst indigestion that is all day and night. My stomach bloats so bad that it presses on my lungs and makes it hard to breath and then all my upper back muscles start to hurt to bad I can barely take it. It looks so huge until it goes down by the next day and starts again. It makes working out and doing chores unbearable, because the food will sit for like 12 hours or more in there and maybe gas too. It tried putting an ice pack on my back lastnight which helped a bit. Have you ever had this ? It's literally brought me to tears a few times now after 2 weeks of this. I have tried breaking my meals into 6 small meals it helped a day or so and starts again because I guess so many foods my body isn't digesting properly now and I have never experienced anything like this in my life. There are some digestive enzymes by this brand Neeed my midwife said I could take but it says online digestive enzymes haven't been tested for safety yet so I have been to afraid to take them. It's getting hard to eat much and even drinking water is difficult to fit in my stomach. I have to drink before I eat so the bloating isn't even worse and then go hours without water for it to go down some. This is scary I don't know how I'll survive the 3rd trimester if this is how the 2nd trimester is. I knew pregnancy was tough but this is beyond what I imagined.
I have this bad pinched nerve that doesn't go down my leg like sciatica and it's in the right side of my back thats driving me crazy. It has been going on for a month and a half. Is it maybe pressure on my pelvis?
could be... hard to assume without an eval. We do remote consultations if you want to chat and try and tackle it. feel free to email our office at hello@liveloudlife.com
Wow!!! Congratulations!!! This is my 1st and I want natural, but am scared the pain will get so bad I won't be able to take it lol. I have a midwife and a doula and am going to a hospital for the 1st. Also, was thinking of a water birth to help during the labor stage only to help with the pain. Also, maybe the nitrous oxide if it will help! I'm pretty scared about it to be honest! I would love to do a home, but if the pain gets too bad there is no out at that point. This really gives me inspiration!!! Thank you!
our first 3 were all in birth centers with Nitrous. We did not end up using it but there to help if needed. I highly suggest looking into Hypno Birthing and taking their courses and get their book. Very helpful for me.
@@gaia.health After your video I watched a podcast with Yvonne Strahovski from the Handmaid's Tale about how she did a home birth with her 2nd child and how much she loved it. She said she didn't even need to push her body did it for her. Now I'm kinda thinking maybe homebirth? The pain is what scares me, I guess worse I could transfer to the hospital. I hate hospitals so much and am a very private person so don't like the idea of one. Plus our dog is like our kid and I don't want to leave him lol. I used to get such bad menstrual cramps so I am scared of how much worse this will be.
Also, was thinking of the nitrous oxide as a pain option so then at least a birthing center then. How do you get the baby tested after birth of not at the hospital?
Can you still do crunches and situps if you can hold in your core still during pregnancy with no doming? I am 19 weeks and still not showing and having a hard time stopping my current ab routine and only focusing on doing transverse abdominus ab exercises. I guess I was trying to go as long as possible.
You can, especially if it is your first you may not be hardly even showing... eventually, you will hit a point where you probably shouldn't. But you have also have to keep in mind they goal and align that with your birth plan. Tighter abs are not necessarily better
