Hi peeps. Most of this channel consists of music remastering, isolating, upscaling and other bits and pieces. But I’m not a professional in any of these areas, just simply a fan trying to pass the time.
Most of my interests are fairly random but can mostly boil down to: Doctor Who Anime & Manga The life and works of Gerry Anderson Random 80s shows Movies And various other bits and pieces
Current ongoing projects are: Mass Effect 3 (Complete Score) - currently standing at over 12 hours in length. Doctor Who Music Suites - from both Classic and NuWho. Various video essays that I currently have in production. And the big one, a review of Supermarionation shows and beyond.
My most controversial opinion is that I don’t like The Last Jedi or Knives Out.
Always loved the very beginning part of this track. It started with Iceman having a word with Maverick about him "show boating with the Mig" and then transition to Jesture announcing the first day of training. Iceman: Maverick. Who was covering Cougar while you were show boating with the Mig? Maverick: Cougar was doing just fine. Iceman: Ah, huh. Jesture: Gentlemen, this is your first HOP. The jets you are flying against are smaller, faster, and more maneuverable. Just like the enemy Mig. The clock is ticking, and from now on we are keeping score. A4 and F-14 speeding toward each other, and then they fly by each other - officially signaling the start of the dogfight. FIGHTS ON! Maverick: I lost him Goose!!! Jesture: Show me watcha got kid. Goose: I'm looking! I'm looking!..........I GOT HIM! I GOT HIM! He's on our tail! He's coming hard! Maverick: Yeah, I got him. I got him. Here we go.
I love the invasion it is my fourth favourite second doctor story and has the best animated and crossover hall should have animated some other second doctor stories
They sure loved that orchestra hit effect in the 80s. My fave from this soundtrack was always the cleaning robot theme though and the music from 22:20 that has some sort of Asian sounding chime peppered through it that the other versions of it dont have, really works well to give that off kilter menacing flavour that 80s Doctor Who established which Murray Golds bland generic orchestrals really lost in the modern show. The synthesiser was made for this show cos it can make those other worldly noises no orchestral instrument can.
I really love most of these updates, but added crystal effect is just bad and I think the original practical worked fine. I think that's when the effects annoy me most, when they're unnecessary and add nothing.
Can you extract the Isolated score of "Take my Breath away" (INCLUDING the rare humming intro) that starts at 00:52:09 ? This timing is from the Blu-ray version
I remember getting invested in this show when I was younger because the intro went so hard and even for a little kid the plot was so interesting to see and if they would meet there mother or not
whats funny about this, is that when i went to watch the stingray livestream, it started playing this music, and i thought that it was something having to do with music, and that i had to watch the episode without the livestream. luckily, i found the episode i was looking for, and it was a great episode.
I agree that the whimsical nature of the theme underplaying the Daleks in this story does lessen their menace, but there is certainly no faulting Blyton's composition for the temple and sacrifice music!!! That cue is terrifying and could fit quite easily into any of 'The Omen' films!!!
All the eerie incidentals that underplay Tegans dream are superb as is the screeching Mara theme! Peter Howell is my favourite composer of Doctor Who. 'The Five Doctors' and 'The Two Doctors' scores are both utter genius.
These were the good ole days of Doctor who.. I would watch each episode religiously! Now this show has evolved into a ridiculous shit show you can't even make sense of... Ridiculous incarnations And regenerations that are so dumb I don't EVEN watch it anymore as a ex -fan of the longest running series known... Peter Capaldi was the last doctor for me.. And that was how it was supposed to be after the 12th doctor...
Funny thing is, when the Nestene was just a blobby glowy lump, I thought it was quite effective. When I saw the cgi, I just thought, "Why would a squid be flying?"
I remember watching this episode for the first time and just being genuinely shocked and in awe over this sequence. It’s pretty morbid, especially for a programme aimed at children lol
Gentlemen this is your first hop. The jets you are flying against are smaller, faster and more maneuverable just like the enemy MiGs. The clock is ticking and as of right now we are keeping score
