The past couple years we have had such abundant runs here in Oregon the are allowing retention of one wild chinook. Also this year we had a record coho run on the willamette and you can keep hatchery and wild fish above willamette falls which hasn’t been allowed in ten years!
Well I see you guys are fishing it on low tide!! Not much action right? Not any fish? That’s why you fish it when the high tide is coming in and fish the bridge that’s towards going to Lincoln city and bobber and eggs !!! If you go up to the hatchery line fluorescent orange Corky with chartreuse yarn. Also if ya wanna play with the jacks use some lobster tail or crawdad tail. I had a friend that lived in the trailer park and he was good friends with the warden who lived at the entrance of the hatchery back in the 80’s . Also it’s still early n the season you got til the end of oct. when it starts getting into full swing and usually the 2nd week of nov is when the big salmon start making it in.
I subscribe to you because you’re giving location. I don’t understand why so many people have to hide where the hell they fish some people just can’t afford to go on a boat so nice location would be nice for everyone to know. Thank you for that.
It's because we spend months sometimes years looking for these spots, we put in work to find these spots and now these are crowded and fished out because some ahole wants to blow them up for views, it gets frustrating
@@diamondmario1181 you can try fishing on Mars I hear it’s really good there and you’ll probably have no crowd at all and can report where you fishing. The ocean is huge fish plenty not many people know how to catch them as you do so if you give tips on how to catch the fish, but most fisherman do that anyway, I am completely opposite. I will tell you exactly where to go and God bless you if you can get there.
@RobertCurtin-hi2cm dude I've broken manystate records over the years, do you know all that goes into proving records? For one you have to have it verified very shortly after catching, good luck getting someone who can certify it to come out! Besides you can't eat a record!
@everythingfishing5450 I couldn't find anything that states that area is closed to fishing within the regulations? Maybe you could share what you have found if it differs from what I've read?
I’m confused, are you saying that the gap in your bucket will let them breathe? If you want the water oxygenated then it has to be agitated. A portable bubbler would work. Otherwise you are suffocating the fish… maybe they live in the low oxygen water but for those with a long drive they need a bubbler. Not sure it’s legal in Oregon to transport live fish. Even then, rock fish I’d just kill and put on ice as soon as I bleed it for the best product. I’m talking a mins from catch to ice
I just came across your videos in my search to learn the coast lines a lot better. You are super new to "RU-vid" but not new to fishing. If you ever wanna show a man to fish. I'm ready to learn. Let me know when and where you are fishing next. It'd be awesome to get some knowledge off you
I'm in southern Oregon, but would love to fish the Garibaldi area. Thinking of starting my own Chanel, Oregon needs more people representing on here. Hit me up sometime maybe we can colab and do a catch and cook video. Cheers and Blessings!
