I have several bristlenose plecos in my pond. Bristlenose not common, that is a bristlenose they don't get big. my pond is heated to aboit 77f. I take them out through the winter tho. . never had a problem with them even had them breeding in there but I'd take the eggs out to prevent the koi eating them. Great idea tho
I have a 300-gallon tank through which I have a constant flow of fresh water flowing around the clock, and I currently have 17 Koi all about four inches in length. The tank measures 7 feet long by 3 feet 6 inches deep by 3 feet wide, and the inflow of water drops 5 feet from an overhead pipe to aerate it before it reaches the aquarium water surface. Do you think the fish will remain healthy if I grow them to 2 feet in length or greater in this aquarium? I do have an outdoor pond but I like seeing the koi in the aquarium and intend to keep them in the aquarium for as long as possible. Any thoughts you can share on my dastardly plan would be appreciated.
Hi this was the one video where I miss edited and put the music way to high. Please do check out my newest videos there much beater quality. Thank you 👍
They come on well but for your next batch you want to stay clear of cuttlebrook they just take 99 percent of the quality out and sell there rejects as fry bags mate , you got a perfect setup spend a bit more and get better quality fry then you will see a great financial return and get better outcomes mate , thanks for the update mate and keep up the passion and videos lad 🍻
@@UkKoiFish Adam byer but order months in advance, and tell him what types you want not a general mix he charges a few quid more but It worth it , and crazy but all my best apart from Adam I've got from eBay just decent hobby guys with too much fry from quality blood lines I got 75 showa for £40 on eBay got £100 each for them the following year 👍🏻

Again, why not just pick the top 10 per cent and keep them separate? I think it is the accumulation of this work that differentiates NISHIKIGOI from other ornamental fish and is the essence of NISHIKIGOI.
Hi I’m planning on doing this once they get a bit bigger. At the moment there’s enough space for all of them but as they get bigger I slowly get rid of the lower quality ones until I’m left with the 20 best ones. You can see how I did this with the last ones as these are now in my main pond. I simply do not have the space to split them up at an early age 👍
Hi Yes this does have its benefits as it results in more eggs getting fertilised and many large koi farms use that method but it is quite difficult and I don’t have to facilities to do it effectively. Natural spawning is also more fun to watch
