Hey everyone, I am glad you are interested in my channel.
Here you can find review's and vlogs in the world of motorcycle's .
Currently I own Yamaha MT 09 Gen 3, that's why you are gonna see the bike a lot in the video's! I ride bike's for pure joy and nothing else. Next to that I love testing different bikes. Here is why I want to share my experience with you guys.
How was your experience with the 690? I really would like a sumo but the reliability issue really prevents me from actually buying it. Can you tell us about your personal experience and maybe your friends opinion or people you’ve met regarding the KTM 690-subject. Thanks in advance
@@MaskedGearhead Hi, the only problem I have had in 10 years is a frayed wire that caused a misfire. I change the oil every 3000 miles and check the valves every 4000 or so. It has a full system and power commander and a Nova Racing long range gearbox, final drive is down 1 tooth at the front and up 3 at the back. No electronics. I love it. I can’t comment on other folks experiences really.
It's strange to say that this mt 09 4-ger-. It's almost the same bike as the previous one, 3-ger. because I don't see it that way. only the engine remains the same, same frame. but with many changes, mainly in the geometry,.. being lower and glued to the ground,.. and people who rode both noticed good and big differences,. That's why I find it strange, nothing against the 3rd gen. mt 09, big cannon,. but this new version is even more complete. more and better electronics, etc,.. and of course, there is room for further improvement,. both in appearance and even performance,....I like this new model, I think the front optics could be better, but it's not bad at all,..otherwise I think the bike is very good,..perhaps the best in its range price and power!
got gen3 (bought it last fall), now im considering gen4 and losing sleep bcs i want to spend my money on it. cant seem to be satisfied XD thank you for this vid, makes me feel bit better about owning gen3 over gen4. Btw i just installed the "sport windscreen", its absolutely amazing blocking wind. i can HIGHLY recommend it, if the visuals dont mind you. night and day compared to vanilla no windscreen.
No shit! What the hell was Ducati thinking?!? I already called around here in the States to all the big suspension places and almost everyone said the back shock on that bike is a throw away! Front forks are workable and can be made to please, but the amount of money Ducati is asking for the bike and they cheap out on the suspension, that’s a NoGo!
I am so glad me and my father we got Mt 09 sp 2023. Just ridden it today want a bike. I really don't like the sitting position of this new Mt. If I wanted the uncomfortable sitting position I would get just the sport bike. Nice review man. Sub
I completely agree with you,I sat on an mt 09 2024 at a show and the riding position sucks.I was literally searching for the footpegs to put my feet on,they are so far behind it felt I m on the passenger pegs.I dont know why many people find the more uncomfortable position better than the neutral one the gen 3 had.Yamaha had a one of a kind signature bike, and they ruined it to please the supersport fans who want to get a naked.Every other bike like the duke, the z900 and the street triple you have to duck, now unfortunately you have to do the same thing on the mt 09...Questionable decisions made by Yamaha for sure.I wanted to get the mt 09 next summer, but I really dont want to get the gen 4.Ugly wide and pointy tank like a duke, instead of that sexy curved/muscular one on the gen 3.Bulky boxes on the handlebars for the controls, more uncomfortable riding position, +4 kilos. All they did right with the gen 3,they ve undone it with the gen 4.
@@niffow its not as aggressive on the z for sure, but it reminded me of it somehow. I had a z900 for 3 months and got rid of it, i always felt pain in my wrists after 25 minutes of riding. Its a gorgeous bike tho.
Not really, because they need some free space to move freely. When you give gas the suspension of the bike goes up which makes them shorter. Unless you put new ones which are shorter.
A minha chegou hoje, mas na terra de wr, não estragar a mota ssf,, e não são para passar ou penduras,, e a minha tem os tremagonis,, menos 3 k e mais 7 cv,
Dude adjust your speed in small landroads… you re never will react in time if for example a tractor suddenly will appear on the road. Nice vid tho…. Nice bike too… ordered mine 4 weeks ago.. delivery tomorrow 😊
Thank you for your concerns. I do know most of the roads there and I try to be as save as possible. 😊 Happy you pulled the trigger, sadly i find the bike little smaller for what I will be using it
@@niffowok man drive safe!… you look for a some heavier bike or something ?? I switched my 2020 Hypermotard 950 SP for this new 698 mono cause I look for a more lightweight for playing around…. I can tell you that the 950SP is a beast of a bike, awesome quickshifter too but so much power for the small roads here in Holland…. It s an expensive one tho😅…. Goodluck with finding a good bike !
@@edelduin6585 Thank you!!, Well as I said i sold my 690 to try something else but nothing else has really caught my eye. At least nothing else than Yamaha bikes. Especially the mt 09 sp gen 3. Looking into testing one coming days. After that it will be either MT 09 or again sumo probably 701 this time. In the perfect world where money wasn't really a barrier I would had both xd
I saw a german comparison from these two bikes. They also done some races and even if the bikes have other rpm for the highest torquer/hp , they accerlerated excactly the same. So there was no difference in power ... But I like the 690/701 more because of the look, sound and the parts which are available
Yes it would be better if i had the option to test both of them next to each other. But from my experience the ducati felt smoother. Keep in mind that the bike is out not so long ago so aftermarket parts will come out soon
@@niffow I studied the user manual before going for the test ride and I have set everything just hidden behind the corner xD . After the test I bought this bike and I do not regret my decision. It is powerfull enough for wheelie and fun (I came from a CBR600RR). I suggest to put Wheelie control to 1 and not to disable, tried once and was backflipping!
I think you have missed inform your self. The bike i tested RVE model was 150+- kg. About the length, I found it to be at very comfortable height level. Feels like the 690 is taller, prob because of the bigger front forks that the 690 has.
My experience with the bike was good. fast bike with proper engine and gearbox :) We shall see how that bike will perform in the long turn. Its still Ducati and keep in mind Ducati has sometimes little annoying problems with their bikes. Will be fun when more aftermarket parts come out
@@niffow I got a box with rear pegs with mine, i'm sure other customers have as well. They are not sold separately as an add on from ducati, they are identical to the set on the 2019+ hyper 950
@@niffow I looking at a set of rear pegs that come with my 698 mono.... They mount behind the footpeg where the little black plastic blade go... google munroemotors 698 to see an image of them mounted
@@niffow i dont know what to tell you i have a set delivered with the bike. look up munroe motors mono RVE, you can see the rear pegs fitted. d. magnus425 posted a video of his with the rear pegs fitted as well
Hey! Subscribed Btw! Hope you're doing great! :D Would it be ok to feature your clip in a video we're making? You'll be credited with a on-screen watermark and in the description/pinned comment. Do you mind explaining what happened?
