I'm an indie game developer and writer who sometimes plays games and talks over them!
I made a game called Gunpoint, about finding creative ways to break into buildings by rewiring security systems, jumping through windows and punching people.
Why is the ending so abrupt Im laughing with you and then suddenly you turn into terminator, your face goes blank and you end the recording haha Love the tutorials Tom!!
now imagine a dlc or expansion in where the team goes to a back-water country to stop the local vampire over lord (Strahd) who is also the leader of the largest drug trading in the world.
Hey Now! Just wanted to say I played the demo and I absolutely love it! Wishlisted! Fwiw, I came to it completely organically playing through 30 odd NextFest demos. Don't know how many demos there were, I know hundreds... I heard a figure in the thousands. Out of all the ones I played, Tactical Breach Wizards is 1 of 3 that i plan on buying.(Shout out to Drill Core). The love is evident and shines throughout the demo/gameplay - I am excited for the release! Thank you and congratulations. 😁
Ok I need this in DnD world setting! It's like modern day but magic is made reality a few years ago but everyone try to used it for everyday things and have to wear medaevil stuff like a wizard hat for some reasons!
I remember playing this a long time ago due to Twitch Prime giving it for free, really cool game, and the developers of this are still around and they are about to release a new game called "Tactical Wizard Breach" which is more like XCOM or Into the Breach, recommend playing the demo they have.
I really like how the nercomancer medic still shoots them when they are very clearly dead. I also had the concept for an Artificer Demolitionist who embodies the phrase, "I didn't ask 'how big the room is' I said I cast Fireball." He weilds MSL32 Rotary Scroll Launcher. His upsides would be superb damage, and his downsides being a habit for freindly fire (Iiteral and Figurative). He would also have some utility, mainly from shaping the environment. Things like Fabricating explosive barrels, or temporary cover.
I played the demo today and holy shit bro I'm officially hyped, I expected a fun strategic game sure but I was not ready for how unexpectedly funnu the dialogues were and the gameplay was better than I expected too, I can't wait for the full game
1:21:07 YES! Absolutely. All perks earlier = better. I hate reaching the end of the game and unlocking my last perk/ability/whatever 5 minutes before the game ends. I want time to enjoy having every power I deserve.
Your frustrations with management sound a lot like Tim Cain talking about running Troika. My immediate reaction is ‘why didn’t/don’t you hire a manager to manage?’ You’re both smart people so I assume that’s just naive and ignorant on my part, but/therefore I would be interested to hear an explanation as to why that isn’t a solution.
Oh, btw Tom, I noticed when I end my turn at times enemies movewithout any indication. Not sure why, but it would be nice to forsee movement intentions since I could use that to inform my choices for next turn and potentially get an ambush with the Navy seer.
If all the perks are good, I want to be able to unlock them all. I at least want to be able to try all of them without replaying the entire game. Finding unexpected interactions between different perks is a fun thing to explore.
I was excited for the mention of the possible addition of respec points, since I imagine by the end of the game I would've accumulated quite a few of those, so I was thinking I could use those to rebuild the character to try new combos in the dreams and challenge levels.
Someone randomly posted this game in my discord, recommended i try it, and I'm so glad i did because my guy, you make amazing games. I'm retroactively going to go back and buy gunpoint to play that now while i wait for the full release.
Interesting to see how much the game changed over time. The knockback witch went from "don't go hitting people too hard" to "my entire tactic is throwing people out of windows"
Just checked, and realised that I wish-listed it on 15/06/2020! So happy (almost) 4 year anniversary of that event. Congrats on the demo's success and best of luck on the remainder of the release!
49:20 When I played Invisible Inc always minimized the wall because it was a necessity to see stuff in the game. I don't know why they give you the option to see full walls in Invisible Inc, I guess for screenshots? In tactical breach wizards you made your UI good by default by only showing the bottom of walls.
Regarding perks, I am okay not having all of them at the end but I want to feel like I have a full build at the end of the game and I also want to have maybe an optional challenge prologue where I get to play a little bit with my full build. The best game I can reference with this kind of satisfying feeling is Shadowrun: Hong Kong.
I think it could be neat to have a few of the dream/challenge levels become available only after finishing the story, and those extra levels would be what provide the final few perk points so you can fully max out each character.
I wonder if this is portable on andriod because the graphics remind me of some android games not that its bad mind your design is a beauty its just that turn based games (usely) dosent need a 100$ pc I would love playing this one android sadly as a game dev myself i dont think android it worth the effort😢
Old timey crate & crowbar listener and defenestration enthusiast over here: the game is looking, playing and sounding FANTASTIC, Tom! What a journey, man.
