9:21 Only memory I still have of Dark Rising involves something along the lines of repeatedly stepping over a trigger that would give you a free Munna, which would throw a harmless Bad Egg into my box. I could be remembering wrong but I'm pretty sure that was this game? lol. Maybe I just had a scuffed version but with all the bugs shown here I'm doubting it was just me.
I played when it came out the first full version, it was the GOTY for me, the rumors about Kymii secret seggs scene was hilarious. If this game was not so hard on HM use in the last part of the game it whole be perfect, I remember teach and erase every single time I need a HM to cross a path of rocks or a waterfall, clearly need QoL of the newest pokemon fan games like items that replaces HMs.
People hating on Mojang for being "lazy" know absolutely nothing about game development. You can have thousand ideas on how to improve a game or make it more exciting but keeping the balance between new content and not overwhelming players is a very underestimated and difficult task. Especially when you have a game that has such a huge demographic with players of ALL ages playing it. Also there should be some gratitude for devs keeping a game alive for so many years and players receiving so many updates completely for free. All that with just a one time purchase for a very reasonable price No DLC, No paid Battle passes, No paid items. (There is the marketplace but it's not affecting the core game, neither is it shoved up your face all the time and you're not missing out on anything without purchasing from it.) It could be much MUCH worse in a time where Freemium games are the norm and even huge 70$ AAA games have no shame in using in game currencies for game breaking add ons Yet people are hating on one of the few left big games with humanity in it. Smh
I had an idea on how I would remake Dark Chaos. It has 30% Accuracy. It does half Damage, and has a 15% chance to give the opponent a random Status Condition, set up a random weather, or Random Terrain. And a 1% Chance to insta kill the Pokemon. Edit: Oh and 10 PP.
I absolutely loved the humor in this game and I would have loved to play the entire story but for a pokemon casual like me it was too hard so I lost interest after gym 4. Maybe I'll watch a playthrough
Got this recommended to me last night on the RU-vid Switch app home page and I love your humour and the way you edit. That's a subscribe from me, boys.
I remember i played one pokemon game where it had two regions ash was there he was the world champion or something and we even get yo challenge him it was fun like fun
Also another game where at a certain point in the game where u can make choices to be good or bad also after getting two badges our badges get stolen or something and than we have to fight the said gyms again
Played it, for the time it came out it was not actually bad at all obviously in 2024 looking back it still was decently good especially considering a kid made it.
As a kid, I really enjoyed this game, despite being ridiculously unbalanced. Played the part 1 and 2 and I can say it's one of the best rom hack I played. This is the only game that made me train for hours just to beat a trainer😂
I remembered I caught that black dragon one. I think it's post game. I liked it when I played it back in the day. I never skipped the battles in Pokemon anyways
So my issues with dark rising were never about it being edgy or anything. I don’t mind a bit of edge. It’s that it did the poorest job in trying to mimic difficulty that I’ve seen a game do in a long time Improved battle ai? Balanced teams? Nah just give everything thunderwave, a king’s rock, and explosion That’s…unfortunately just not good game design
me: who the heck made this rom hack?! a child?! "Creator of said Romhack was a 12-year-old girl"... me: oh....I guess the answer was yes...Can't fault a kid for having dreams I guess.
