You're probably better off downloading this one. It's illegal, but I'm sure it's better than taking a second mortgage to buy furry mecha DS game.

Always glad to see stuff like this brought to light, I had never played this one before but I was immediately taken aback by the visual style and effort in it the game, I may be new to the fandom for it, but I bet I’ll be thinking about it long into the future.

The names (like chocolat) are spelled that way bc the game takes place in a lot of European countries, like france, hence the voice acting is also french

I recently bought this game in German Kaufland and just for 40€. Expensive but... fuck, how I see the prices on eBay and other stores, i got lucky.

Solatorobo is one of my favorite ds games, I missed out on it during the ds era. To give a bit of a constructive criticism, calling it a "dumb rip-off" felt a bit too harsh as a final comment for the review, Im aware that you enjoyed the game. I also just wanted to give my opinion. This video was also enjoyable as well.

Nice, I was seeking someone talking about this game ! I really liked this game (especially after part one) and once I was in, the exposition wasn't that boring to me, the only problem is with the quest (like the one with the fishes) that kinda cut the rythm of the game, I also disagree when you talk about about boss being underwhelming while showing the Lemures core (he was, at least for me, the hardest boss in the game and was the only one where I felt like I wouldn't be able to beat him). 1:24 it's not spelled wrong, that's just the french word for chocolate (tho, Blank, while being said like "Blanc" (french for withe) is misspelled, or maybe it's wanted, I don't know)

Really, this looks great. Check the company list, it's all top-tiers from the time. CyberConnect2 made it with financial assistance and initial publishing from Bandai Namco Games, XSeed Studios did the North American port and publishing, and Nintendo thought it was so good they flat out published it themselves in PAL regions. It's gameplay is very Klonoa inspired, which was a franchise at the time desperate for a sequel or spiritual successor. This whole thing sounds like a recipe for a rousing success, so... how'd they screw it up? Did they just... not market it? This IS 2011 we're talking about, if you didn't market your game or get the gaming press' attention about it, and it wasn't pirate-able to spread awareness since the DS was a piracy haven (according to what I can find, it has some heavy handed Antipiracy features that have to be patched for even newer cartridges), it would basically be dead on arrival. I don't remember seeing it on store shelves here on the west coast, though the North American box art is certainly forgettable compared to the eye-catching design they used on the manual and CD case. It's become a bit of a collector's piece too so good luck getting people hyped about it today, $200 just for a loose cartridge, $500 CIB. Ouch.

Nah cuz I'm watching this absolutely hopeless because my Solatorobo DS save file corrupted (it's 512kb now, instead of 8kb?!). I beat the first part, and I do not feel like playing through that again

I’m still hating myself for not picking this game up brand new at Gamestop for 9.99$ because i was too lazy to leave the house and drive to gamestop late in the evening smh this was over a decade ago and it still stings because i was genuinely interested in this game now that same game complete usa copy goes for north of 500$!!!!!!! SMDH 😞
