put the hooks at an acute left or right angle into the 2x4 on the wall so the bikes hang against the wall and slight downward angle for the hooks to make it easier to catch the rim. the hooks wont be mad that they arent perpendicular to the wall and not horizontal to the floor. We humans always want everything square and level to make a box.
Used a pair of Adidas Skate shoes. Very light but also very soft. Today I found a pair of five tens in a local shop on clearance sale for 50 bucks new. Couldn't say no to that.
Next time you get up here check out Pine Mountian in Iron Mountain, it was just opened up this year and already pretty popular. Not nearly as long but still fun trails.
And as it is appointed unto men once to die, but after this the judgment: (Hebrews 9:27) For what is a man profited, if he shall gain the whole world, and lose his own soul? or what shall a man give in exchange for his soul? (Matthew 16:26) For the wages of sin is death; but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord. (Romans 6:23) The Lord is not slack concerning his promise, as some men count slackness; but is longsuffering to us-ward, not willing that any should perish, but that all should come to repentance. (2 Peter 3:9)
I will never spend 1/2 as much as the lowest price one of the hangers shown. I have a couple bikes in my storage rental place and you are not allowed to drill holes. Anything for that? Something that would not break the bank? Right now I found a clamp from harbor freight i put in a seam in the wall works but from time to time it comes loose and drops off the wall. Probably dew to the spot next door getting bumped but I don’t know for sure. Anyway good video I am going to check out the first video because I am definitely a DIY guy before I would spend $100 and up
Me being a 74 year old dude my shredding days are over, I want to completely remove my dropper seat post from my Aventon Ramblas and go with a suspenion seat post, I have not messed with it yet and wqnted to see what could be done. Thanks
I think the bike rack will work best for my situation, I live in a co-op house with 22 other people and we have about 18 bikes in the garage and use one of those honkin big steel bike racks you might see outside a school and it makes navigating the garage a huge pita because the middle of the rack is about 3ft from the wall. Between the bike rack we use now and the other stuff in the garage, we have about 1.5 ft of space to walk through and god just trying to pull a bike out is a difficult task.
WARNING: Carbon frame top tubes are often extremely fragile to crushing forces so please don't place it in the jaws of any sort of work stand or storage clamp. Always use the seat post which is designed to handle those forces. Most metal bikes are fine. Cheers!
Thank you! I wonder how many other dads are here because they are frustrated by the amount of bikes and kid stuff keeping their garage from being used lol
Blind laps, were you riding a hard tail or a full suspension because when I went there the dude said I needed a full suspension but the kid on the orange bike used a hard tail
Copper Harbor is a joke, you have to walk up 500ft. They close it to vehicles and force you to pay a hippie in a van. Wasted an 8 hr trip up there. Never again.
I hate watching your vids because it reminds me that even if you pump out the best content, you only get 5k subs, love your vids btw, not just the footage and commentary, but the way they are put together (editing) ,get well soon and happy trails.
Ha! When the notification popped up it just said “I hate watching your vids” and I was bummed out until reading the rest! Thanks for the comment and kind words- I really enjoy making these videos and wish I had more time to dedicate to them at the moment 🥲
