Genial compra Pará toda tu familia los demás modelos...su manejó de stedes es muy bueno y esa pista?? Que bonito circuito que más puede pedir?? Perfecto bro ❤
12mph top speed. Fast enough for a toy RC, slow top speed compared to hobby RCs. Not bad for $49.99 and makes it more playable and less prone to damage if there is limited space or if kids are playing with it.
Yep not bad at all :) Good fun and the slow speed keeps it out of trouble I guess. Would've been good already as a model or toy car, RC playability makes it worth it :)
Call your local Costco and ask! Or try Costco online if they ship there. Also a bunch of people selling it on ebay but they have to mark it up to make it worth their while, so not such a good deal anymore.
No direct way to do upgrades since it's more of a toy vs. hobby RC. But if you have the skills to do DIY modifications, it looks doable given the wiring and possible space within the plastic body. A brushless motor would be sweet too. But as is, the RC is very playable.
@The3RoasterToasters this is an older GoPro Hero 8 Black, with a foam sleeve to prevent wind noise and provide some protection because I just taped the camera to the RC to quickly mount it and experiment.
3:40 it’s ok, but I would’ve replaced the front tires with foam wheels or all 4 wheels for better handling. It looks fun and fortunate to have a track .
I saw the end film but how would you say the tires kept up? I have the same one as you but only a tennis court near me, wanted to know if the tires would get chewed up or not
Tires are ok, not chewed up and the texture on the tires are still quite good. I'm guessing the tires will wear out like rubber shoe soles eventually, but negligible wear for each run, just gets dusty.
Where is this track?? I saw these at Costco yesterday… I was tempted… but the wife said ‘no’.., maybe XMas… but I have over 300 ‘real’ RCs already… ha ha
Have you tried the trim adjustment using the remote? Hold the sound effects button, once flashing turn the wheel to straighten the steering and while still holding the steering in your desired direction, let go of the sound FX button. The steering should remain at whatever you adjusted to. I hope this helps you out? I had no luck adjusting mine using the physical knob on the car and discovered this adjustment in the manual
Love the image stabilized on board camera!! I did a short choppy video of this a few days ago, nice to see someone else post a good video! Love the track! Yeah, the speed is meh at best, I think it's a decent display piece. but great to do 1 on 1 time trials and stay on course. Its all about knowing when to take you finger off the throttle to make the hairpin.
Hehe thanks, I just taped my GoPro and used my usual mountain biking settings, I was pleasantly surprised that it worked well :) The track is just the right size and layout to get some F1 feels. I agree that this is quite slow for an RC, but that's probably not a bad thing to keep it in one piece and so it's easier to play with and not dizzying with an FPV camera haha.
I wasn't able to measure yet, but since this is more of a toy RC (vs hobby or competition RC), I would guess around 9-12mph. It runs on fairly low voltage with only a 2s lithium battery.
At around 7:14 for the right turn, driver should've entered the bike lane before turning. It is confusing in this area though because of the parked cars, this is probably why the instructor was lenient since the parked car blocked the approach to the bike lane.
Great video... been here once... April 3, 2024... brought my new Ozark Trail 'Vibe' (black) on these trails... straight outta Walmart (with some fine tuning). It was a long ride from where I parked my car on Scenic View Drive. Not going back without replacing the plastic pedals with some much stronger metal ones... and bringing a bigger water bottle next time... sometime in April 2024.
Thanks for the note, good to know that it helps! But if you do get lost, trust that all those trails are fun and most of them end up in the same spot at the bottom anyway :)
Out of all the Greer vids out there over the years. Probably hundreds , you are the only one that shows the climb! Well done! Some of us like to watch both the climb and down.
Thanks for the feedback! I like watching climb videos too especially for trails that are unfamiliar to me. They help with scoping the route and planning things out :) The climb on Greer is actually quite engaging as well since a lot of it is single track and not too steep.
Thanks for the positive feedback, glad it was enjoyable! I tend to watch (or let videos play in the background) when I'm just working or doing something else lol.
Nice video man. I read the comment above so I focused on your fork and never saw it compress during the entire time. It's almost as if you had it locked out even though I saw you open it up. Would love to see a video of you making that major air adjustment. Maybe a miscalculation regarding lower end of recommendation?
Yeah, after this ride the o-ring was only at around 75% of full travel, which at 170mm means I didn't use 30-40mm. I definitely need to play around with the air and settings more to make full use of the fork and shock :)
Rode there the following Saturday of the 8/19 opening. Dude, your front suspension is too stiff you’re missing the full potential of the fork. Try airing down a bit and play with your rebound as well. I also aired down my tires to about 24 front and rear for better grip. Your brake combo should work fine.. I run Deore dual pistons on 203 mm rotors for now..
Thanks for the feedback, good eye on rebound! That was pretty much my conclusion too, need to slow it down more. Also on the stiff side indeed, the fork is at the lower range of recommended sag (15%), I should've left it with more sag closer to 20%. This was only my second time riding the build so definitely not dialed yet. After the first ride I did a fork lower service and air can service and that helped a lot, but didn't have time to play around with the other settings. Unfortunately left those closer for Trails vs Descending since I wasn't expecting to take this to the bike park (only got the invite the day before lol). Tires were around 26, just didn't know what to expect since I was riding blind so kept it higher. I really like the Deore brakes, really good brakes for the money even with 2 piston calipers. Running the metal pads on these and they bite nice. I don't mind the reach adjustment that requires the tool, looks clean anyway and I tend to leave them once I find the setting I like. My 4 piston XTs may feel nicer, but I'm not lacking anything with the Deores (and I like them more than Codes and Guides).
