I'm studying master's rn and last week there were one guy who were joking about his wife during presentation week. John Mulaney's story has always made me think of Brad Pitt and Jennifer Aniston's divorce. Way back when I used to listen to John's material about not having children, I would tell myself that he secretly wants kids but because he loves his wife, who steadfastly doesn't want one, agreed that it would be his life as well. I believed the same for Brad Pitt, even though I have no way, no how of knowing what happened in either story. he did love her at some point, but also regardless, i think people definitely change their opinion on having babies based on the person they're in a relationship with. maybe his relationship with his ex wife was one he didn't want to bring a baby into, because regardless when it comes down to it, i don't think the decision comes only up to singularly that person. it has to do with themselves, who they're with, how their relationship is, and how they think their relationship would be with a child.
Lol, I don't think his opinion changed about children because of meeting Olivia. I think he accidentally got her pregnant, and then had no choice but to go through with it. He was even still married at the time. Even if he maybe wanted kids, most people do not go ahead and choose to have a baby with someone they dated for a month or so weeks. But I definitely don't think this is something he will regret, like people have said. Who knows if his relationship will last, but its pretty clear that he loves his son, and loves being a dad! Hes in a much better place now.
