They are married, because the latest book from 2022 mentions dealing with e-mails on their honeymoon. They also claimed to be non-white. In a reddit AMA from September 2022 they also described themselves as a junior barrister and there are very longstanding rumours that SB practices in the south west. Given they're not a QC/KC and mentioned using the internet to try and find pupillages, then I think it's someone a bit younger. Probably around 40 years old at most. Gender, not so sure - they mentioned being berated by a judge and then made a point about the judge apparently being misogynistic - is that just a wider point, or is SB really female after all? The idea of growing the moustache might be a tongue-in-cheek swipe about the profession perhaps being easier for men. They also gave an interview on "Women in the Law" podcast back in 2020, voiced by an actor. I'm going for female. The whole thing has a female vibe to it.
If this movie was made today it would have been about vivian and about how quirky she was and different and elle would have been seen as sort of the villain and then they have a bonding moment This was ahead of it's time
Only Five were Hanged, whilst dated is an excellent read of the memoirs of a 1930s-60s barrister by the name of JD Caswell. 40 Murder Trials only 5 ever met the hangman's noose. Also the only barrister to have a murder sentence quashed by the Law Lords
@@nicolersands it was that girlie girls can be intelligent and successful too. Not that girlie girls are cringe. She looks like a side character from mean girls not elle woods.
@@taiyabazaheer9492 Why do you label ‘basic’ girly things as cringe and position women who don’t do those things as superior? Not very Elle Woods of you.
What so “🤮🤢🤮” about this you must have not seen the movie so I’ll give a brief synopsis of it it’s a movie about a girl named Elle from Malibu the movie begins with her being a stupid rich sheltered sorority girl after she is broken up with for not being “serious “ enough for her ex she enrolls in Harvard Law School to impress him however as she goes on she becomes an incredible lawyer despite her adversities and she relieses she dosent need her ex anymore.
In the latest book from 2022 it sounded like SB wanted to identify themselves, but just dropped a load of hints rather than just coming out and saying it. Unless it's deliberately obfuscated or just plain made up, I guarantee you someone in the legal profession knows whom it is based solely on that book. The only issue I have with it being D'Souza is that he was called to the Bar in 1993. SB explicitly talks about using the internet to try and find a pupillage and refers to certain events in their own youth. I just think D'Souza is too old.
so I'm in my second year in varsity and starting my first ever moot experience this month... I'm so scared and as always feel overwhelmingly insecure. This is a very big step for me and I really am nervous.
