I literally blew smoke from my lit cigarette into the TB via the vacuum line, that is me making that huffing/puffing noise blowing into the vacuum line. If you watch closely upper right side at the lever where it goes into the TB, you will observe smoke coming out. Sorry bad angle, was doing it with one hand.
I had success with passenger side, but cant clean driver side. Wasn't able to clean enough to blow some air. Update : it did work with carb cleaner and air and of course a little metal stick. Thank you man again. You saved my w211 )))
Hey I’m struggling with a p0410 code and I think this might be the problem, do you need to replace the gaskets on the reed valve? Or do you leave them is this a good first place to start, or do you think it is more likely something else, if I am to clean this I worry about carbon falling down into the cat jamming it up was that a concern for you or would you not worry about it? Thanks!
Hey Back. No you do not need to replace the gasket if you remove the reed valve carefully, if you want to help from it not to break then soak it with electronics spray cleaner as not to damage the rubber. DO NOT USE brake cleaner or anything that will eat rubber. Do not worry about the carbon down inside the tube, I too was worried but It had no adverse effect, it will burn off as designed to. Do however vacuum up/clean any loose carbon when reed valve is removed. If you are lucky enough to find a carbon ball like I did then you will know what I mean. BREAK A LEG!
I’m in the middle of a m113 rebuild . I took the time to split open both of these valves to clean them properly . I scrubbed them with diesel really quickly , washed them off with water & let them air dry then soda blasted them . the results were impressive because the soda blasting removed all the surface contamination / stains & exposed the bare aluminum making it look new again ! I also soda blasted every component of my intake manifold while it is fully disassembled , as well as both cylinder heads .feels good removing 100% of the carbon build up inside the engine .
Well, I tried that with a GDI systems cleaner basically a carburetor cleaner that would not harm the cat or O2S, filled it up several times, used compressed air. The solvent did nothing but make the issue worse. It impacted the carbon debris/build up in and around the sharp bends and rough surfaces. You will see, give it a try and let us know. I hope you will have more luck than me.
Hello Ajvaz, I prefer not to publish my contact information in public. I tried to DM you but it appears you do not have that feature enabled. If I may suggest, post your issue here so maybe it can help others with same or like issues or get on BenzWorld.Org and DM me there www.benzworld.org/threads/w209-srs-light-fix-assistance.1581356/page-2
I don’t find you at my clk I have a 320 cdi 2006 and at me lights the srs and I have see the codes an the codes say it the control unit can I tricked out or must I buy a new control unit do you understand me I’m sorry for my bad English
@@ajvazmani5410, your English is fine, my Korean Mother and French Step Father, believe me, I can figure it out :-) We need a little more details, please. Okay, is the code from a Mercedes Benz diagnostic program/tool or a Universal OBD2 reader? This is important as you need details on the OHMs reading of the sensors to figure out if it is the sensor connectors (squibes) or other component/s. If it was me, I would find a friend with the same car and place my Control Unit in their car to test if unit is working properly. Please do not put friend's unit in your car as your car may damage the unit. Do you use WhatsApp? If so I can try to find you :-)
Thank you for your video and especially the links to information. I have a 2003 clk 500 cabriolet and luckily bought a Star Diagnostic clone when I bought the car 7 years ago. Very helpful if someone shows you where the faulty connectors are. So I found all the yellow connectors and it was clear that one of them had been a problem in the past. Anyway took them apart and sprayed with contact cleaner. Reassembled and ran the diagnostics and cleared the error codes and history. No more srs warnings and no more error codes. So thanks once again for your video.
My Please Brother. Glad your easy fix did the trick. I tried that too but mine was just too corroded to get rid of the resistance so I went the Tech bulletin route. So far so good, not a peep from the SRS system . Please keep us posted. Next job to get rid of the AIR system check engine light, very annoying. I need to remove the valve covers and clean it. Will post that little big job soon.
I feel like it would be cheaper for those of us without these items to go to a shop? Im not to versed with electronics. If you had no experience with electronics and no tools to do it, would you recommend taking it to a shop? Or buying the equipment and DIY?
Could there be debris inside the VSV, if the valve is nearly new? Do I activate the solenoid valve and blow compressed air through it? PO441 keeps coming back after ~20miles on my '97 ES300.
@@jimchang911 lots if crusty vac hoses were replaced. Bought VSV on Amazon over 30 days ago, no longer returnable. Will it damage VSV if using compress air to clean out any debris in valve? It's been a start & stop process getting codes cleared. Both the vacuum sensor on fire wall and VSV ln top of charcoal canister hsve been replaced. $200 for vacuum sensor, got it from NAPA. Not available on Amazon. New VSV is $18. from Amazon. Other that P0441 the car drives great, with maybe decreased mpg. May replace MAP sensor ($17) Coils, plugs & O2 sensors recently replaced. Thanks for your comments Jim!
@@socalrws It is not so much about blowing out debris vs making sure the solenoids switch on and off when needed. Get a 9 volt battery, put a little vacuum (5-7') to it and see if they trigger. If stuck close or open you will soon find out. I would go to the yard and pick up several, bring the 9 volt battery with you and test them, if you here a click then vacuum test it at home. Heck, I brought my vacuum tester to the yard and located a good working one for cheap.
Mr Chang, Are you on medication or just side-tracked with all your slurred speech, um's, uh's, & other Dysarthria speech probelms that drags your message on & on with your voice going up & down in volumne. Studdering has always been hard to listen to.
Mr Sabbath, Thank you. Tell us how you really feel. :-) No, not on Drugs ( but I wish ) or Speech Impediment but my wife will argue with me about that. LOL. Yes I agree, this was raw, unscripted or unedited. I did this on the fly and phone was hand held. Next time, if I do this again, I will use my wife's tripod and mic.
Very Well. The trick is to set up your equalizer for best sound if you have one or built in. My Step-Son helped me as he graduated from Music School and DJ's on the side. Putting one in my GMC Truck :-)
Holly chomolly champ 330k miles i have 190k on mines i guess tune up and timing belt and water pump and shell go another 150k what amazing cars these old lexus are
Check out the million mile club in Japan, you'll be surprised on how long a lexus es300 and ls400 can really go,some in the world have over 1 million miles and still are running strong 💪
Had my buddy Dr Benz clear SRS codes and verified resistance are all good to go. He did confirm, MBZ Tech bulletin stated to replace all suspect connectors using MBS connectors and Heat Shrink Butt Solders. Next on the list, Right Rear Window stopping 80%.
@@YeshuaDisciple916 no, just eliminating the faulty squib connectors. Per MBZ mechanic, all readings show 100%, zero resistance = no SRS error codes. Just make sure you disconnect the battery, wait 10+ minutes before attempting the repair.
Nope, never, just getting rid of the faulty squib connectors that MBZ admitted on their Service Tech Bulletin update. This should be a national recall but no one really cares until someone gets injured or worse fatally. Shame on MBZ
Probably the sound I chose and can't really hear or feel the sub in action. Oh well can't make everyone happy I guess. But I do recommend it or the HS10 for small space Sub needs. Cheers!
@@jimchang911 i dont know how i can adjust that because i will only have the stock radio setup. I will have to look after it gets installed. But thx for the tip
