Finally fixing the Stupid SRS light. I will need to go visit my MBZ buddy to reset the light.
Sorry about the horrible audio and all the sniffles, very annoying, it got really cold at night.
Per BenzWorld.org Original Poster (OP), MBZ Tech Notes; they called for complete removal of defective "SQUIBS" aka connectors at the Door Sill, under the Car Seat then Heat Shrink Solder Kit to the lines to eliminate the possibility of resistance in the lines due to defective connectors (Squibs).

Total time per side 20-30 minutes, probably faster if you don't remove the squibs from the under seat bracket.

Thank you for your video and especially the links to information. I have a 2003 clk 500 cabriolet and luckily bought a Star Diagnostic clone when I bought the car 7 years ago. Very helpful if someone shows you where the faulty connectors are. So I found all the yellow connectors and it was clear that one of them had been a problem in the past. Anyway took them apart and sprayed with contact cleaner. Reassembled and ran the diagnostics and cleared the error codes and history. No more srs warnings and no more error codes. So thanks once again for your video.

My Please Brother. Glad your easy fix did the trick. I tried that too but mine was just too corroded to get rid of the resistance so I went the Tech bulletin route. So far so good, not a peep from the SRS system . Please keep us posted. Next job to get rid of the AIR system check engine light, very annoying. I need to remove the valve covers and clean it. Will post that little big job soon.

Had my buddy Dr Benz clear SRS codes and verified resistance are all good to go. He did confirm, MBZ Tech bulletin stated to replace all suspect connectors using MBS connectors and Heat Shrink Butt Solders. Next on the list, Right Rear Window stopping 80%.

@@JesusDisciple916 no, just eliminating the faulty squib connectors. Per MBZ mechanic, all readings show 100%, zero resistance = no SRS error codes. Just make sure you disconnect the battery, wait 10+ minutes before attempting the repair.

Nope, never, just getting rid of the faulty squib connectors that MBZ admitted on their Service Tech Bulletin update. This should be a national recall but no one really cares until someone gets injured or worse fatally. Shame on MBZ

I feel like it would be cheaper for those of us without these items to go to a shop? Im not to versed with electronics. If you had no experience with electronics and no tools to do it, would you recommend taking it to a shop? Or buying the equipment and DIY?

Mr Chang, Are you on medication or just side-tracked with all your slurred speech, um's, uh's, & other Dysarthria speech probelms that drags your message on & on with your voice going up & down in volumne. Studdering has always been hard to listen to.

Mr Sabbath, Thank you. Tell us how you really feel. :-) No, not on Drugs ( but I wish ) or Speech Impediment but my wife will argue with me about that. LOL. Yes I agree, this was raw, unscripted or unedited. I did this on the fly and phone was hand held. Next time, if I do this again, I will use my wife's tripod and mic.

I don’t find you at my clk I have a 320 cdi 2006 and at me lights the srs and I have see the codes an the codes say it the control unit can I tricked out or must I buy a new control unit do you understand me I’m sorry for my bad English

@@ajvazmani5410, your English is fine, my Korean Mother and French Step Father, believe me, I can figure it out :-) We need a little more details, please. Okay, is the code from a Mercedes Benz diagnostic program/tool or a Universal OBD2 reader? This is important as you need details on the OHMs reading of the sensors to figure out if it is the sensor connectors (squibes) or other component/s. If it was me, I would find a friend with the same car and place my Control Unit in their car to test if unit is working properly. Please do not put friend's unit in your car as your car may damage the unit. Do you use WhatsApp? If so I can try to find you :-)
