You can certainly hear the clarity of the voice even in these old recordings. There’s no wild, swallowed wobble here like we hear in the modern singers. Just pure core in the sound and open throat. Caruso is always giving a master class from beyond.🎉

We are the poorer for hi fidelity recording devices not being available when Caruso was alive, but at least we do get to appreciate his divine voice. How many tenors in the 19th Century had fine voices, but due to no recording devices being invented yet, we will never get to enjoy their voices.
