Caruso recorded E lucevan le stelle several times starting in 1902. This is his last recording of the aria from 6th of November 1909. Unlike the previous recordings this was accompanied by an orchestra. All the previous ones were accompanied by a piano player.

Oh! sweet kisses, oh! languid caresses,
while I, trembling, released her lovely features from their veils!
