@@Zi-TekGaming yeah it's the only pack I've picked up so far. I generally don't do that b/c I would have to melt everything in the pack but it seemed like a good deal for two LTIs
I used it in my Corsair and found it helpful. Even double stacked in the back. (I still can't sell anything) I went warbond because ships blow up for no reason. I hear they are going to make them run on a power cell, more problems yeah. Yeah..my mule is now a golf cart.
Big ships will be reworked and not mark 2'ed. Not sure how you think starting from scratch on something that takes years is "the better way". There is no warbonds for the Turing because it is going to be just a module for the 600i rework.
Anything modular has to go through the modular pipeline so it could be a combo I suppose of rework and from scratch. Any generally speaking the newest way of building ships has been an improvement over the old for CIG. Comparing any of the old ships to something like the Cutter shows how this evolution produces a better product.
There is absolutely no secret what the plan for the 600 is. There is no mk2. Just like any big ship it is going to get reworked, as comprehensive as that may be into the current standard. Exactly what happened with the retaliator. A combo between rework and from scratch is an oxymoron - in general and in the case of SC. Not to mention having better or new pipelines absolutely does not require you to start from scratch - 3d models have the amazing property of being generally portable...
yeah ATLS you do have to position yourself so there is a straight like to and from... and hope nothing is in the including a friend running round hanger... Days since last Accident 0
I bought the ATLS with store credit also. I will melt it when it becomes available in-game. New players without store credit are the ones who are harmed. It's a bad look for a game that gets accused of being a "scam". The solution is to make it available in-game immediately.
I was thinking initially that I would take my Kruger and non WB CCU to the ATLS. I know I'll never use the Kruger and at that low level it can turn into any chain basically but oh well
So far the best value proposition for the ATLS is that you can yeet yourself off a ship in atmo and basically halo jump and land unscathed in the Mech suit. You could hot drop someone onto like jump town or a mission objective without having to hover close to it. Imo thats a pretty cope take, but it at least gives it a job until its been refined to be the best cargo tool in all situations
ATLS really only works ok for C2 and M2 and as the video says it has serious issues once you need to stack higher levels. I found it takes too much space up in the Cat, and things hit stuff too much. Certainly a way to switch modes would improve it.
I’ve learned the hard way exactly what you describe. I’ve burned through a few of my precious money saving CCU’s and then things bloody change! Now I regret the ones I’ve used as better ships come out. This is the best advice you will get on YT. Hold onto your CCU’s until the game releases as much is changing and will continue to change.
I would not bet on a "Rework" of old ships. If the Hornet has shown us anything is that CIG puts moeny grabbing over keeping promoses. I expect a Constellation 2, a Frelancer 2 and similar stuff they can sell for money rather than a Rework of old ships already paid for. I have a long list of CCU chains unpressed that won't, until I know what I pledged for will be delivered properly updated. I'm also progressively phasing out all the older ships in my fleet because I have no faith they will ever be properly reworked. Even the Carrak and the MSR already need a Rework. Badly!
The Hornet series was a tragedy and you're probably right. V2 is more likely with all those ships vs a rework. I'm also holding all other chains until the madness ends. When will it end?!?!
Serious question. How the hell did you get it to stack? Stacking boxes in my c2 took so long I gave up and switched to hand held. Guessing it's a user issue but I really did try
I bit the bullet and bought one with store credit. It sucks at stacking so for old school hauling its not great. For hauling missions, sure it loads a bit faster onto a grid. I think it needs some improvements still.
I cannot purchase a CCU to the ATLS. I just bought it with store credit and first experience was complete trash. It needs improvement and it's over priced.
Not sure what you are talking about. You can CCU from any vehicle besides the PTV. Thats never an issue and its always possible. Are you just a drama bot?
No idea on the G12 but its on the docket for work being done since the reveal last IAE, or maybe it was earlier this year. So probably within the next 2-12 months! lol
Thanks for the info, but...I'm not sure if you have actually used the ATLS in the PTU when it was available to try, but it is WAAAAY faster when loading (especially) large ships like a C2 in a Large/XLarge hangar. This can move things over 100m where the other tractor beam tools cannot. Also boxes >= 16 SCU will require an ATLS, as the Tractor beam tools will no longer move those large boxses in 3.24.2. They are also going to be using the new tractor beam tech used on the ATLS as upgradable tractor beams on ships as well. As to the walking speed of the ATLS, they have adjusted the "run" speed of it, over what it was in the PTU (but it is still faster than a character running). However, you cannot run while using a tractor beam and ranges on your multi tools are much more limited. I'm looking forward to the ATLS being available for in-game purchase, because it IS a game changer for large haulers.
I haven't done testing personally I made that clear. I've relied on my guildmates that did testing in the PTU. Generally the feedback I heard was that it's a forced purchase/change for too much money because they are changing things with this platform. It was nearly all negative, from the purchase price to no CCU availability, to the speed. The fact that it and ship beams will be the only 24 SCU capable lifters isn't playing well with those I've spoken to. Time will tell though!
@@Zi-TekGaming No worries. I think you should try it for yourself. As I said, it definitely helps when working on loading large ships in XL hangars (esp. while solo). I have no doubt it will eventually be in game for purchase, most likely around the time of 3.24.2, when the changes to tractor beams require it. The ATLS is NOT NECESSARY when working small hangars and small loads - it is faster to just use your mutlitool.
If they let you upgrade to the ATLS eventually you could upgrade from a referral bonus like the PTV given it's higher price point but otherwise it does seem a bit of a high price given what it does. Still cheaper than the mule though. The C1 has 4 pilot controlled weapons which will give you a bit more versatility in your weapons loadout. It will also handle better than the CL specifically according to what has been stated but who knows how that will turn out. Based on what has been revealed so far I also prefer the Zeus, it has a lot of practical elements in the layout that are a selling point for me. Thanks for the video.
got quite a few CCUs in the pocket, few duplicates. now the game is filling in gaps to build chains, even if those chains just sit in the bank for a while..
This is a way better idea! I actually very curious now about the role the Mule will play in the game. It seems like, even with its issues, the ATLS and the hand helds, along with ship tractors will all be more efficient/faster than using a forklift. Maybe there will be areas where a drive is necessary?
post yfw you get the latest isiots debriefed about your diplomatic immunity so they cry nd fuck off they cant arrest frivolously like abusive 4chan mods haha oops whyd i p9st this????
The handheld tractor beam will have shorter times that you can use it before it runs out of power, meaning that you will need to recharge it handhelds are also limited by the weight it can move. Tractor beams on vehicles will use its powerplant. There is also Titan suite with weapons that was announced years ago it even has a concept (look it up using google).
I was thinking $40 version would have thrusters, up armored, and some kind of weapon/utility platform (thinking mining or combat here) or massive storage like a mini ROC.
Thanks for the update! I think the C1 still has a role, though a lot less compelling one. (not to mention it's $25 cheaper) That role is more of a swiss army knife do-it-all ship. I'm expecting the CL to fly like a brick and be a cargo specialist, where the c1 is still pretty nimble and could ROC mine or bounty hunt or explore etc. It's unclear to me if the Zeus CL has VTOL or VTOL equivalent. If not, then that's a huge bonus for the C1 (long into the future when their flight system comes online and we have diverse gravities etc)
This is a good point I kinda glossed over a bit. Its $25 less now but after release the Zeus will be more than $25 more. I think that may play into its increased capability, compared to the Spirit as well.
Totally agree. Its not like the C1 is useless. Its still a hell of a ship. Actually played with it a bit tonight. Its very capable but I think the price difference makes sense with the enhanced capabilities of the Zeus. The possibilities for the Galaxy have my head spinning a bit, especially when comparing to the C2.
Thanks for the video and the explanations while thinking stuff through. I appreciate it when people talk through their decisions instead of give the bullet points and expect me to figure out the in-between.
I agree 100% with your take on the Zeus vs Spirit. I'm guessing the Zeus will be slower and less maneuverable in atmo to keep the Spirit from becoming obsolete.
The lower price point of the C1 also makes sense now that I think about it. I am very interested in seeing what the Interceptor version has in comparison to the other two. It releases later than them.
I hate when companies are pretending to do ballancing only to nerf old things so to sell you new ATLS or to make new overpowered stuff... here is another great example like always tractorbeams handheld was nerfed so it can't move 32SCU box for that you will need 2 people now and i fyou want to do it solo you have to buy ATLS or have a ship beam
Im so torn about the c2, i have a gemeni to valk warbond, and im trying to get to the perseus eventually so there is a huge gap from the valk to the prowler -> c2 warbond without much else to chain to.
There are a few concept ships on the way. Hope you got the ironclad WB, M2, carrack, BMM too if you didn't get the Perseus WB. Keep an eye out for those and see if you can fit some concept CCU in the chain where possible
