I like how thry read her rights AFTER the "safety guy" got almost everything they needed and got her to say way more than she had to, which was nothing at all but . Clever bastard
I worked as a teller. That is the most common looking fake check. They may or may not know. Sometimes people send fake checks to scam others. But I'm pretty sure they know. They probably realized how smart tellers are so went there. Tellers cash/deposit hundreds of checks a day. We know account numbers of businesses by heart and routing numbers. We know what employee checks look like and signatures. We can look at a check in one second and know if its fake. We can also call and look up in our system to check them. I promise it would be extremely rare to pass a fake check at a bank or credit union. Even small $50 personal checks I'm looking it up. I would call the person who wrote it to verify. I never had fake checks go through. You turn into a pro detective with checks pretty quickly. Can even tell by how someone is acting. Hate thieves. I made sure no one had their money stolen including the credit unions.
