Honestly, probably the most fun program I've ever ran... first few weeks were brutal, but once I got accustomed to the volume, I loved it. Also put 15kg on my squat after having ran through 6 weeks of it (wtf, I know), but I mainly ran it just to have fun. Didn't run the peak phase, so can't speak about that, but I really enjoyed the base phase. Considering if I should return to Bullmastiff, I really miss it
How often do you progress weights on the powerdays? and by how much? Could you also do day1: power upper day2: hyp lower day3: hyp uppper day4: power lower? or is there a reason why 2 power days are followed up with 2 hyp days?
I’m running this programme now and I’m loving it. I still haven’t had to drop the reps yet but I’m gonna be there within a week I think on tier 3 but definitely not tier one or two for at least 3 weeks I’d say. I will add I am taking the tier 1 armrap sets to the grave tho 😂😂 can’t help myself
Great video; this explained the program very well. I have just one question, so for the first cycle, if my squat max is 300 and I'm using 270lbs. Eventually, after I reach a number over my 1RM, e.g., 310lbs, do I then change my number to 90% of 310lbs, or do I keep it at the original even if I go beyond the starting number till I stall and then change it to 90% of the number of the number that I stalled? Thanks, so much!😃
I'm a bit confused about stalling and reset on the T2. Do you just add 10kg to your original starting weight? So say you started the whole program with an empty bar then you stall out on 3x6 at say 80kg, would you just restart with 30kg and go from there? It seems like it would be a big deload.
On the stronglift site he doesn't recommend doing 3×5 3×3 1×3 anymore but just a top set of 5 followed by 4 back off sets with 10% less, why this change though?
Would you consider it an intermediate program as well? I've found very little information regarding that. Alexander Bromley points it out as a good program for an "lazy intermediate" (someone who is to lazy to organize a program or how to do so). I've seen here and there on obscure sites pointing it out as a good simple program for intermediates who don't want to get into complicated programs as well. From what I understand, the main point is that the combination of plus sets and resetting ends up creating a good-enough periodization scheme. I would really appreciate your opinion on this. All those 1RM percentages always ends up getting me dizzy.
