10:27 . That's actually the tunnel for the exhaust since the engine is mounted perpendicular to it so the transmission is on the side. Great review though
I got mine at 9k off for a 23 R-Line SEL and I love it, the looks are great, super smooth driving, luxurious experience without paying the premium price compared to Audi. The performance is great, personally waiting for Unitronics to drop the ECU TCU tunes for it, after that it should be a beast
Best SUV period. Took my 13’ platinum off roading and over landing in Utah a month ago. So capable and easy to sleep in. Do all the maintenance and these will go 300k miles easy
Still waiting on the hybrid for this price especially so. Really weak electronics makes this a hard pass until the 2025s come out Industry wide in particular the Chrysler Pacifica. Verdict: someone wanted something that wasn't a truck for Mom for a change.
Been driving my 2012 Mazda 6 for 11 years now and no car I've ever owned has been better to me. Over 100k miles and it's never been in the shop. Hope they bring the 6 back state-side. Whenever I need another car I want a Mazda.
I was just looking at the Toyota Crown Limited for about a $50,000 price tag and sure the Crown is a more luxurious car and I'm sure it rides a bit nicer, but is it really worth double the price especially since the Corolla has some of the exact same features. I currently drive a 2016 Toyota Corolla that I purchased brand new and am not looking at replacing it for quite some time, but am currently window shopping other Toyota options out there and dollar for dollar I keep coming back to the Corolla for the best bang for the buck option and then throw in extremely inexpensive cost of ownership and super reliability and the Corolla just can't be beat.
Where are you seeing them? Hardly any SEL Premiums in Southern California and very few Black on Black. I'm willing to go out of my way for this car, But how far remains to be seen. And there are virtually no new 2023's with any kind of discount. Even some used with low mileage are priced above anything reasonable.
Awesome review!! Baby #3 on the way and have narrowed it down to the Sequoia-it’s just calling my name!! When are used car prices expected to go down? I’m hoping to buy next year…? Thanks for your channel-new subscriber!
We have 3 kids all in car seats still. We were going with the grand highlander (since 2024 sequoia is $80k), but the day we were set, the recall happened and they stopped selling them 😭 so we are debating between second gen or 3rd. Only con for 2nd is mpg for me personally, but now I’m convinced it’s way better than the new one. Hope you find a fair priced second gen!
Hi @tristan.z I recently bought my RCD 330 on Amazon and according to the description it is the 6RD 035 187 B - "Noname" and the radio has exactly that number on it, but it also says: R340G. It does not have the VW logo stamped nor the Desay on it. So, do you have any idea which version did I really get? Thanks in advance!
They made it look more like an OG prelude. I don't like the fog light bezels. It also kind of reminds me of a TSX which I do like. Blind spots signal should've been on the last model, oversight. I hate molded exhaust tips. If the 10th gen had that dash, would've slapped. I don't like the new seats. The steering wheel buttons look cleaner. I don't like the size of the new gauge cluster. They should've included an always on boost gauge on the sides. They always miss something. The new stalks look cheaper. I don't like how the new sport touring doesn't have CF trim, that black plastic reminds me of a mid 00's Cadillac and looks cheap. I really don't like the added 2 tone panel on the door card. The best upgrades on this entire car is the head, AC, parking sensors and blind spot sensors. Kind of insane it wasn't on the last model. I actually preferred the middle console on the last gen.
There is an unfortunate reason why the Taos and Jetta have buttons. It’s an older design, before VW switched to capacitive. This means a redesign is coming soon, so if you want a VW with buttons, get the Taos or Jetta before it’s too late because the time is ticking, especially for the Jetta.
I purchased a 22 SEL R line in early 2023. Love the car. People remark how beautiful it is. The hatch trunk is enormous. No regrets at all. Beware, low profile tires are prone to blow outs from pot holes. Get the tire insurance.
I have a 21, and I love it. I think it's the tires. I have had 3 blowouts and researched a lot of tires. I brought Giovanni tires. 4 for under 400.00. No drop off in handling, been on car for year. Will buy a 23 soon and not waiting for potholes. New tires, too. Go to Walmart or Priority tires sites
Great review. I agree it should have at least driver side power seats and heated front seats. The good thing is that you can easily add after market heated seats for about 300.00. Well worth it if you live in the NE…..and from what I hear the after market heated seats are better than factory !!!
An alternative thought on a bed-capped truck versus your more family-friendly 4Runner concept (or any other SUV) is the isolation of luggage and such to prevent them from becoming projectiles during any on-road drama. The once popular sedan accomplished this by having a trunk. This is something the NHTSA and IIHS should demonstrate with those slow-motion videos. There are all kinds of tiny bits flying about in them as it is!
