I had only 200 USD. Luckily they didn’t ask me about it. But after few days my friend also went to Cambodia and he had 500USD cash with him. Still they deported him by saying he doesn’t have enough cash. So if you planning to go Cambodia make sure you have more than 500USD and tell them that you are in Cambodia just for 4-5 days.
I heard about it. Some say it’s between Jan to March. I was there in April month and the climate was amazing. Not too hot not too cold. Overall one of the best offbeat place to explore in Thailand.

Lol I have enough friends who border run from Vietnam to Cambodia. There is no racism, they want bribes. On borders they call it a cup of coffee, the more they can pressure you, the bigger the cup gets lol. If you paid the immigration guy, other people in line won't stop you. It's like passport in India, if you don't pay the police verification guy, they will call you to police station for "further verification" and keep harassing you until you get the hint.
