Yup, I was surprised when i first got to know that there r quite a lot of muslims (be it men or women) in our country who refuse to or don't want to say Vande Matram (not even Bharat mata ki jai) coz it's apparently against their religious beliefs they think as Vande matram loosely translates to "I praise/bow to thee mother" about Motherland india & It's an ode to the motherland, personified as the "mother goddess"..So, they think praising as in to bowing anyone or anything other than allah is sin, specially when it's personified as "mata" which they think is like praying to any hindu diety.

They dont know meaning simple
