I am always amazed with the hundreds of piano samples I have to choose from, just how quickly I adapt to the sound of each of them. I usually just use the piano patches that came with the Juno DS mixed with the Yamaha MX.(lazy)🤔🎶🎹🎶Play On
in the 90s I own a Roland U-110 Module, its been earlier than the U-20/U-220 ...and that U-110 was AMAZING back that days, real near or the same wave samples than U-20 I guess
Controversial comparison! Waldorf Zarenbourg was released back in 2004! And Wurlitzer and Rhodes are not inferior to the others, maybe better in some ways! And the quality of the effects is at the highest level!
The Numa X Piano GT wheighs 22 kg, like the Kurzweil. Then you can also get that one and pay a couple of dollars more, but you get a full blown synth, sequencer, V.A.S.T., etc! And the sound is very audiophile too.
I have a TS-10. Almost any musical style can be played with this keyboard on a high-level , sometimes a top-level. That includes also classic music and various folklore. Thanks to the very effective filters , a sound sample can have three or more characters. The filters moderate the brightness at low velocity , but always open completely at maximum velocity , which leads to huge dynamics , as we know from CD recordings. The filters do not deform the sounds of acoustic instruments at low velocities , so flutes , wind instruments and strings , and of course the Grand-Piano , sound naturally at any velocities. Yamaha is the best producer of music instruments imo, whether real pianos or digital, synths, drums, also great guitars and bass. My fav nylon strings are Yamaha, as well
Weren't the SQ1, SQ2, SQR and KS 32 all the same synth? SQ2 is just a 76-key SQ1, SQR is just a rack mount SQ1 and KS 32 is just a weighted action SQ1. The originals were all 21-voice and then they upgraded to 32-voice. (KS-32 always 32 voice.) I had an SQ2 32-voice and SQRs in both 21 and 32 voice versions. Loved them all.

I was surprised at U20 piano sound when I hear for the first time. It was super realistic at that era. I immediately decided to buy it. That is one of my best memories.
Ha ha ha. Wersję rackowe brzmia bardzo płasko, bo są to moduły nie do gry na żywca, tylko do robienia aranży. Zresztą ja nagrywam plyty na starej nagrywarce, bo dzisiejsze nagrywarki nie mają żadnego brzmienia-sa płaskie.
D50, M1, Kurzweil non sono synth in FM. Sy77 e sy99 sono synth ibridi come i Korg del video. Dai sintetizzatori FM manca il dx7... però avete fatto vedere il raro e potentissimo Dx5. Opsyx è una bestiolina di Korg che ha portato la sintesi FM verso nuove frontiere ampliandone le già notevoli possibilità e facilitando la programmazione...Korg è sempre Korg.
I’m somewhat surprised that Studiologic and even Kurzweil have chosen to use external power supplies on their flagship stage pianos. The Numa X Piano GT and Kurzweil’s SP7 Grand aren’t exactly cheap… they should have used internal power supplies.

Too many piano comparisons in my opinion. There are more sounds than just pianos!! What about strings, basses, pads…even sequencing on them would’ve been cool…
