We are the Blackmore family, a family of 4 based in Somerset, UK with our Volkswagen Transporter T4 campervan conversion called Gino.
Over the Winter of 2019/2020, we have completely refitted the interior of our campervan from the driver seat back, including the insulation, side panels, carpet lining, floorboards, floor covering, electrical distribution system, split-charge relay, solar panel charging, 240v mains circuits, all new kitchen units, retrimmed cabin seats, and a new RIB bed.
Our VW campervan adventures take us all over the UK but we spend most of our time in the South-West, covering large parts of Dorset, Devon, and Cornwall. We have also explored a few places in Wales and have been as far north as Yorkshire. This year we are hoping to travel a bit further, maybe even over to Europe for a quick tour before the UK leaves the EU.

It’s for the small rain porch to stop rain running into the door, hope that helps 🙌 It’s easier if you fit it before you inflate the beams, and don’t forget to take it out before you pack away.
Yes it does, it always has done. It also does this on the Bodega branded fridge we fitted in our T5 so I think it might be a thing that all compressor fridges do.
Hi there, slightly off the subject of headlights, but I love those wheels you have, are they the 17” VW Beetle Heritage alloys? Also can I just ask.. I’m assuming they’re load rated okay for a T4 camper? Many thanks
Incorrect information regarding adjusting one side will alter height on the other. The side you are adjusting, is the same side it affects. The bars run parralell to the van from adjuster straight forward to hub. They dont cross over
Our first cocoon breeze zips started to break, and seams started to come apart, after only 2 uses. A replacement was sent - on its second use one of the air beams popped, I was using the correct inflator and blow off valve. Cheap crap plastic makes up the air a bag inside the beams - they will replace it with a poled version. I wouldn’t go air ever again.
I'm sorry to hear you had an issue with your Cocoon Breeze. We were able to use our Cocoon for 3 seasons before replacing it with a Loopo Breeze that we are still using. We too have now swapped to a poled awning as we found that the Hive Poled was much lighter and more practical than the Breeze version. All the best, John.
We have not needed to secure the fridge in our van, however if you do need to there are screw holes inside. You can remove the screw cap covers and screw through the sides into the cabinet. As far as I'm aware there is no built in way to fix this particular model to the floor. All the best, John.
Thanks for reaching out. On this van we had the seats professionally re-trimmed, although on our T5 project build we have seat covers from Transporter HQ that we will be showing in a future video.
