Hey Elizabeth! What an awesome video! As usual so well presented! I also love that Sanditon PBS Masterpiece series! So many great recommendations! I am especially interested in the Jane Austen at Home by Lucy Worsley. It sounds wonderful! Have a lovely weekend!🥰
My daughter bought me a little glass Jemima Puddle Duck for my birthday! I was so privileged to visit in 2016 Hill Top and the Armitt Museum, which has some of her stuff. ♥️🥰
Hi Elizabeth! What a cool video! So many great recommendations! I share your love for Robin McKinley's 'Beauty" and read her "The Hero and the Crown" over the winter months. I thought it was wonderful - I loved so much about it but really loved the friendship she had with her horse. 'When Hitler Stole Pink Rabbit' is on our TBR for this summer! I added it after watching your video. Mary Stewart is another author I want to read more of, I have only read "The Moonspinners' and I could not get over how much I felt like I was in Greece. Have a lovely weekend!💛
Sister, I've recently finished "Little Witch" by Anna Elizabeth Bennett. That's just awesome. I really enjoyed reading this book. The girl who is the main character had showed a heroic role. Her friends and their family rescued her from cruel witch 🧹 🔮
@@sipzandstoriez9546Absolutely 😊 Thank you for recommendation. I will read the other books that you mentioned above. And also background decoration is just super. I liked it ❤
Hi Elizabeth! I am the same as you in how I go about audio books - I tend to use them for rereads and they are usually classics. I have also began using them for new releases and then purchasing the book if I actually like it. Thank you for the Ready Player One reminder! I have been wanting to read it forever! I agree with you about Richard Armitage's voice! I loved him in North and South. A great video! So many great recommendations! Thank you!💞
Wow Elizabeth! Brava! What a great video full of wonderful books! I want every single one of them! I am currently buddy reading 'All Creatures' with my student. It's absolutely wonderful. I will be watching this video again very soon! Thank you!!!🥰
Hi Elizabeth, I just want to let you know we finished Da Vinci's Cat and found it wonderful! It was such a perfect choice because we went to Italy in April and saw The School of Athens and The Sistine Chapel. Thank you again so much for mentioning it!
I just found you through Heather @WaterBearReads channel and loved this video. And your books you’ve made are beautiful! I’ll be checking out more of your videos and your Etsy shop. 😊
I love your channel so much. One of these days the algorithm is going to realize this and you are going to blow up! I can't wait for that to happen. I've seen The Mona Lisa Vanishes spoken of by other 'Booktubers' but I never felt compelled to pick it up and now, after your review, I just ordered it! I love Brett Helquist's work as well! Mercy Watson is one of our favorites! We are reading Impossible Creatures right now! My son is liking it - the jury is still out for me. I struggle with books that spend less time on character development - I'm very much a character person. But only halfway through. One of my friends just read Rooftoppers with her son and loved it! DaVinci's Cat looks wonderful...and we are safe because we already have plans to go to Italy in April! Ha ha! Have you read 'Masterpiece' by Elise Broach? Another heist- this one focused on Albrecht Durer. My son really loved it, as did I, LOVED this video! Thank you!🌷☘🌷🍀♥
Thanks again Heather! I apologize for my late reply. Masterpiece sounds great. I will definitely check it out now. It's funny you mentioned Impossible Creatures too. I recently recently finished it and I didn't love it either. I am glad your son enjoyed it though. 🙂
@@sipzandstoriez9546 I feel I need to give Impossible Creatures a reread. My mind kept drifting, which sometimes has to do with reading out loud more than the actual book. I feel that if I read it to myself, I might get into it more. I'll be curious to hear your thoughts on it.
Sorry, I am not sure if MinaLima is planning to release Goblet of Fire, but I am sure that they will in another year or so, since Prisoner of Azkaban just came out in October. I will be first in line to buy that one too!
Last they said anything is that they haven't been commissioned by scholastic yet for the 4th book but that they will do it once they're given the okay. Scholastic holds the rights in the US I believe so they need to get approval from them first before any new books. Fingers crossed they get that soon.
Thank you so much for this video! There are some great suggestions, but this is a great reminder to read 'How to Win Friends' which I have not read yet. My son is a bit on the shy side, and I have been trying to find ways to help him with his social skills. I love your videos and always jump on here as soon as I have noticed that you have posted! Happy "Gal"-entines Day!🌹
Thanks Heather! What a great idea. I would love to see more motivational books for kids. I know there is a picture book version of The 7 Habits, but I a kids version of How to Win Friends would be awesome!🙂
I loved your shameless plug ha ha!!! How creative! My favorite of your creations is The Winnie-the-Pooh I think, but they are all lovely!!! Great video! I've already checked out your Etsy shop and it looks so cool!
Glad to hear good things about the Truman book. I really like McCullough and found several of his books(including Truman )at a thrift store and picked them up.
I am so pleased to see you review "Truman" by McCollough!! It is a fine book, and it deserves to be in more reviewers' number 1 slot! I was born and raised in KC,MO in the 60s and i remember him as a very quiet celebrity from Independence. I was brought up close to where he was raised, remember his childhood farmhouse, and my parents shopped at Truman Corners, and i went to Harry S Truman elementary school! Independence, MO is where he spent most of his life before and after the presidency, and that city is where his presidential library is located. I have enjoyed a number of David McCollough's books.... i read The Great Bridge and The Johnstown Flood in summer of 2020 and was extremely happy with them! It was first few months of lockdown and i really got on a nonfiction ride.
Thanks Carol! Wow, that is so interesting that you have childhood memories of Truman as a local celebrity in Missouri. I would love to visit and see the Truman library someday. 🙂
I'm so excited to see you again! How was your time in South Korea? I love all these book recommendations! Rudyard Kipling is one of my favorite authors - I really loved the Second Jungle Book- this summer I visited his Vermont home where he wrote Jungle Books among others. I vlogged it if interested. I loved Journey to the Center of the Earth! But its the only one I have read so far. I totally love Sam too! My son and I just started reading The Hobbit- I forgot how its actually rather funny at parts! David McCullough is one of those authors whose books I see everywhere but I never properly focused on, so I thank you so much for highlighting him. This is one of the best "Best of" lists I've come across! Well done!!
Thank you! I am so excited that you started a channel! Your videos are so well done and you have the exact same taste in children's literature as I do. I love your vlogs of Kipling, Concord and Prince Edward Island. Those are some of the places on my bucket list this year. I can't wait to see more of your videos and the places you visit. I hope you and your son enjoy The Hobbit!🙂
Elizabeth, I love your updates! I just finished "A Girl from Limberlost." Looking forward to watching the movie next. All the editions you have are beautiful. Now, you have certainly peeked my interest in "The House Without Windows." Thanks for the recommendation 😊
What an exciting move!! Pachinko is one of my favourite books, it reads a lot faster than you would think given it’s size. Great list of books, a few that I hadn’t come across to add to the TBR!
I love your videos so much! I just can't wait until RU-vid's algorithm or whatever it is that does it gets your channel to that place where more people come across it. Wonderful video and you are so well read and researched! I only just recently read my first Agatha Christie since I was in high school - 4:50 From Paddington - it was pretty great...I'll have to make my next one a Poirot!
This was wonderful! I loved that you showed the clip of the movie...that was so great. I have never read the shoes series, but definitely need to add those to my tbr for this year.
Your channel is Booktube's best kept secret! I hope you get tons of new subscribers this year because you have wonderful content. I read Emily Of New Moon a few months ago and I agree--- it's better than Anne of Green Gables. I hope to finish the series this year. I loved the edition you featured here, am going to seek it out. Thanks for your reviews, I always enjoy them so much!
