Nice list! I read Travels with Charley last year, too. Really liked it, but didn't realize he had embellished some of the stories! I loved how he didn't skip the preparations for the trip, I felt that built a lot of anticipation.

Thanks Terri! I liked how Steinbeck talked about all the preparations for the trip too! It made the book more relatable.
