This style of boxing is breaking my head, it's a figure of speech. Very elegant and cunning fighting style. Thank you so much sir for an opportunity to train by watching Your videos with tutorial ❤
Is it true that Taekwondo kicks came from Savate? I've seen lots of random comments point that out but it doesn't make sense to me because Korea already had something similar called Taekyeon.
For those of us who are too used to throwing high front kicks as a front snap kick (which I understand aren't legal in savate), is it possible to finish the combo with a "question mark kick" (i.e. chamber a chasse frontal bas or median but releasing the kick as a fouette median or figure) instead?
This is exactly what to do! The trajectory feint I use in this video is on height, but it works even better with angle, as you describe. I go through this at length in a member training video here: londonsavate.co.uk/online-academy/lessons/question-mark-kick-for-savate/ and there is a highlight here:: facebook.com/watch/?v=1145922225921234
These drills will give you more control and dexterity in your legs, which help with any kind of kick training. Certainly helped with my Muay Thai over the last 12 years
God i love this striking form. I was a Contemporary JKD student in college, and all of our kicks came from Savate. In terms of practicality, its the pinnacle of kicking forms in my opinion
