Nice. I am working on an M16A4 clone now. I have already completed an M16A2 and M4A1 clone. YES, PSA sells M16A4 properly marked M16A4 lowers at very reasonable prices. That is the lower I am using for mine. The PSA manufacturer marks are very discrete.
Cool! My m16a1 and m16a2 clones are a bit older, so I was using nodak spuds. Nodak made the forgings for the brownells ones, but since they've been bought by PSA, they seem to be making some cool clones under the H&R brand. I haven't picked on up yet, but I think they look decent.
@@MilSurpCat They are also making the PSA lowers...for a much lower price. H&R is clone correct for M16A1 lowers, but H&R never made any other M16 variants...so to pay extra for an H&R M16A2 or M4 or M4A1 lower really doesn't make much sense UNLESS you really want the gray finish, which is available only under the H&R logo.
I have the Matech sights on my M16A4 and M4A1 clones. I like the sight, it is very reliable and repeatable. My only complain is that the aperture is too small. On my sights I opened the aperture to match the larger aperture on the M16A2 carry handle sight, or the detachable carry handle sight. They are not always marked with the crossed flags and the "Matech" logo. Sometimes they are marked only on the bottom with Matech's CAGE code: 0GU83 The Matech sights are "clone correct" for US Army builds, while the KAC "Big Knob" is clone correct for US Navy/Marine builds. At least with the earlier models...I am not sure with the later "block" models. I understand the URGI models are a little less particular about which sight is used.
Also not all Matech sights are the same. Some are made by other contractors (different cage codes) with dimensions that are kind of different. I had a really worn down one that flipped up by itself; I think this just happens over time (a design flaw). You might like the kac 300m the most, the aperture is pretty large without the insert.
The NWU jacket has a polartec zip in liner that you can buy. This works for cooler wet weather. So the liner with say your waffle top will fill up all the extra space and fit a lot nicer.
I got my interceptor with plates for free,,,,and helmet ...i live in a military town ....gear like this use to be everywhere for nothing .....thoes days are over .
Not yet dude.. been pretty busy. I’m going to get it sent to be parkerized after I have time to test fire it again. In a new town, so I need to find another range. Stay tuned, I’ll make a video when there’s an update. Thanks for the interest!
Yessss!!!! Perfect addition to this slow Sunday for me! Any way to get in contact with you? I occasionally have leads on some stuff you’d be interested in!
You think one could wear a set of ear pro like Howard Leights or Peltors under a size large pasgt or ach? I got a fat 61 ish cm head and I’m worried that the headband would not fit underneath these helmets, or the ear pro would be too large to fit under the ear covering portion of the helmet.
I buy and sell a lot because I have limited space and money, but I like trying things out and seeing what I like. My Mk23 was the biggest hit I took on a gun, percentage wise and took the longest to sell. Cool looking gun... but the usp is half the cost for a more usable platform.
Have a huge collection of GI boonie hats that I’ve been collecting for many years going back to that 1969 ERDL woodland Vietnam issue. Also I have bout 10 of the od green, my most favorite. I have one that’s 73/4 in good condition, the only thing is one of the screen vent came loose and I glued it back in place. If you are interested I can send you pictures. I wear a size 7 but I can wear 71/4 and a 67/8, I put those on a hat stretcher and worked fine
Been wearing military surplus clothing for years. In my part of Appalachia camo is very common. Fortunately I got most of mine years ago , and yes the price has really gone up. The M87 woodland camo has really increased in popularity, particularly with bushcraft community, survivalist , living history buffs , etc.Im old school and I like my OD green military field jacket that I wear 7-8 months of the year, my Vietnam era jungle utilities. Wear my boonie hat summer thru fall most of the time.
Hi this is M-70 bayonet for Yugoslavian automatic rifle Thanks for showing your m16 type bayonets my avatar picture with a flag show's part of my bayonet collection
Dumb question but sportsman's guide and a few other retailers sell a M9 are there any differences in the markings between those and the NOS? Asking before I spend too much on a frame
Mine is just a bare-bones very early M16A4 style. It has a detachable rear sight assembly (carry handle) and A2 style handguards. I'm a minimalist, and the weapon clocks in right at seven lbs. Aero Precision clone lower, PSA upper, IMI handguards, Toolcraft phosphate and chromed BCG, CMMG charging handle, Fulton Armory carry handle, BCM buffer and spring, and Geissele SSA trigger.
The prices you listed are insane deals. The cheapest I can get a tactical brand new is around 1300-1350, MK23 2200 and compact 45 around 1k even. Mind you these are all new with my discount included which are the best prices you can basically find then for new. As for used I recently saw a compact with no mag sell for 650…. Shot if I found any USP under 500 I would buy on the spot/
