Welcome to my channel which is mainly focused on my current BMW e39 electric conversion. My name is Matija. I am not a professional mechanic, just a normal IT guy whose hobby and passion are electric conversions cars. I will be showing the working progress of particular electric conversion and developing some small solutions for better integration of the whole system.
What year is your car? You mention that newer cars have the resister in a different place. My car is a 1999, is it in the place that's harder to reach?
I actually have a little over 300,000km on mine, so I probably couldn’t sell it for more than $5,000/€4,000. Control arms, struts, tie rods etc have 170,000km and are worn (but not critical yet) so this is actually the perfect stage to do a complete EV overhaul, based on your video.
Jesus christ dude... what a filthy engine bay... don't you realize it takes 15 minutes to make it look like it just came out of the showroom? seriously dude, do you wipe your behind when you take a poop, or leave all the junk there all day? clean your damm car, it takes literally minutes.
Nicely done, black interior is appealing to the eye. Did you consider sound deadening before putting new interior? Don't doubt E39 is quiet enough executive sedan, but pulled out combustion engine is probably making little sounds more noticeable.
Thank you . Yes It is much much nicer. Im very happy . And I solve rust issue as well. Previous carpets smelled bad on some kind of moisture. Especialy in summer on sun exposed when pine smell (on mirror) fade avay. In winter not so much. Now that bad smell is all gone
This is the matter of taste. . I wouldn't be changing old at all if new one didn't pop up from a friend. So I decided to change it and sell old one. To try something new. Honestly I like it ... It follow the trend with bigger screen and less buttons, but still follows E39 design wich I like . :) Is not original, neither is the whole car ..
Thank you . Not realy. Tires are 225 like winter, on rear axel as well even though rear weels are 9J . Slightly higher tire pressure is solving the problem ;)
Thank you . It is a lot of work. So if you have real enthusiasam doing that then go for it . Otherwise better don't. I really do love mine. There is no other car out there that I will be willing to convert at that high level details and functionality.
A couple of suggestions that will bring your videos to a whole new level: - More voiceover about what you're doing and why. If you don't like speaking, add subtitles. - Get a gopro with head strap, so we can see what you're seeing when tinkering with details - Film details with same go-pro, with short intro/narration Sretno! Vidi npr. "buduci klasici" kanal za inspiraciju :)
Tnx, I'm watching them. I'm filming now with A7 III so is much difficoult to film that way. It was allready to much of work and editing for just one video. If I had only 10% of their growth i would definitly focuse more on production. Video production is not necessery affecting on growth of the channel. What i've seen is helping is promotion from bigger channels. And then you fly from a start . Othervise is very difficoult . No matter on content or production.
@@bimerev It'll be easier to film with a head strap and smaller cam. And you're right - getting promoted drives influx, but you need to KEEP them somehow. Here's an example regarding narration: you were mixing epoxy filler. Why not talk about it while you're doing it? You're already doing all this work - it doesn't take much make it way better :)
nice upgrade, but u should search for e38 leather seats and mybe even add rear electric seats with heating ? also u might want to show us in future how to refresh headliner and put black alcantara on ? I ve been driving e39 for past 10 years and its my fav car of them all.... atm im driving 3.0d and i love it, woudnt change it for anything except m5.
Thank you . Yes, black alcantara headliner will fit perfect. that will also be nice project in upcoming video. Tnx for mention it . Hmm. Leather seats in good cond are quite expencive.. If I find something at good price I will go for it. E39 is my all time fav car since it came out. I wanted to buy M5 as well (e39 as a weekend car). 10-12 y ago when they were "cheap" and in aboundance I didn't have money. Now when I could have some money price surge up and they are scarse.. :(
