Welcome to Unsung Heroes of Acting where I discuss and analyse the careers of lesser-known actors whose body of work is deserving of wider recognition.
This is a great idea for a series; we have endless discussions regarding more well known performers and this serves as a guide to our more obscure actors and their gifts to the culture. Thank you for your efforts and enthusiasm.
❤D ME SOME MR. BROCK PETERSlllll With your beautiful face and magnificent voice. Rest In Everlasting Peace And Glory, MR. BROCK PETERS! I SHALL ALWAYS ❤ YOU AND YOUR CONTRIBUTION TO THIS MOST UNFAIR AND MOST WICKED COUNTRY! 😢😢😢😢😢😢
Thank you so much for your lovely words and support! It can be a bit of a challenge maintaining a channel idea, but as you so succinctly put it, these people are so deserving of their flowers and that makes it all worthwhile 🙏
Lacey's performance in Raiders is on another level. I was born the year that came out. I grew up with it and it’s one of my top favorite films. I watched it repeatedly as a child and his performance has always been one of the most memorable parts of that film for me.
I'm glad you did this. It always ticks me off that the only performance praised in the gr8 y iiiT hope woman's adapted "... Mockingbird" is Peck's. And I know I've seen him in tons of old things I come across. (as a genX er, most were made before I was born.) Incredible actor. Died without any "honorary acknowledgement" by that filthy joke "Acedemy,." And like m o s t fantastic actors & actresses who are "⬛" are COMPLETELY forgotten. So... Thanks dude.
Wow, on a lighter note, that means he's done waaaay more movies 🎥 than even my dude, Sam the Great Jackson himself! Whom must've done like 30 movies 😄 before we even knew his name! Of course, Same the Great, isn't done just yet.
Thank you for your thoughts here. They are so appreciated! You may be aware of this already but there’s a fabulous documentary on Netflix called “Is That Black Enough For You?” which addresses this very issue of representation and who is controlling the voice and image. Well worth a watch. Thanks again 🙏
@@unsungheroesofacting no, I'm not aware of the 'flix joint you mentioned. So, As much as it pains me to support the distributing platform responsible for MacFarland's disrespectful, cheap abomination that bears the name "Good Times," (animated) .. I'd be interested in looking into that title. Thanks for the info 👍🏽
He and American actress, Lee Remick both born in 1935, then both died in 1991 at the exact same age of 55, months apart, I looked it up at the Internet Movie Database
Though I wasn't exposed to his work as an American his iconic role in Raiders of the Lost Ark as well as his role as the evil magician in Red Sonja always made him one of my favorite villains. I'm 45 and was just a child when those movies came out but all these years later I still remember his performances.
Love Sinead, she is a fantastic actor with a wide range. Sinead reminds me at times of Miranda Richardson, able to move from comedy to trauma through pathos seamlessly. And that amazing voice!
